Ironic that I was eating a veggie delight sub as I read your comment lol. It was yummy!

I've lost 100lbs in the last 4.5 months. Still have more to lose, but it's going well. Advice: Get food scale Weigh all food at least initially to retrain yourself on proper portion sizes. Try to cut out empty calories like sugary pop and candy, carbs make you hungry and don't fill you, protiens are good bang for the buck!…

I use shakes for breakfasts most days simply because I don't usually eat breakfast otherwise but I find if I don't have some calories I get ravenous later. I use them as a tool and don't rely on them as a sole source of nutrition. I do find they curb my appetite for a few hours and it's an easy way to regulate morning…

Synthroid/levothyroxine will be prescribed if you are hypo to normalize you. Once you are normalized you should be able to live normally and lose weight like anyone else. The trick is getting you on the right dose, it can take a while.

The scale will be an eye opener into just how much you are eating. My calorie count suggestion was 3750 per day to lose 1lb a week I said forget that..... The people in the know say you can safely lose approx 1% of your body weight per week. So for you that's approx 4lbs You need a deficit of 500 Cals per day to lose 1lb…

You are eating too much plain and simple. Are you weighing all your foods accurately and tracking everything?? You can work out as much as you like and that will help make your body stronger etc but unless you eat less calories than you consume you will not lose a pound. I started November 15, 2015 and as of February 18th…

I got bad headaches for a couple of days coming off the caffeine... Some OTC pain reliever and sleep helped that. But I also found I got really constipated after about two weeks. I wassnt replacing the water from the soda enough. Any reason why you are quitting? Nothing wrong with some diet pop here n there. I still drink…

Stop using sleep apnea as an excuse. It's not "causing you to retain your weight" eating more calories than your body needs to function is making you gain or not lose. Set an achievable weekly calorie deficit of 1% of your body weight Get a good scale Accurately weigh and count your calories Lose weight Feel better…

No.... Eat less than your body uses.

They didn't imply that correctly medicating thyroid diseases can't be complicated, they only meant in terms of diet. If you are on the correct dosage of medications, losing weight follows the same simple CICO guidelines as everyone else.

Exactly.... All I did was express my own personal opinion. Did I try to tell others not to eat pizza? Did I say pizza is terrible? Did I blame pizza for my weight? Did I say pizza is inherently unhealthy? No to all of those.... Yet some people feel the need to nit pick. Normally I'd just ignore the baiters but I'm in an…

If you took the time to actually read my posts you would see that I'm not talking about pizza specifically, I'm talking about trigger foods (of which pizza was a big one for me) that I used to abuse before I started to take control of my weight. Its not my fault if you arnt intelligent enough to recognize the comparison…

I'm not.... And I don't.... But thanks for the help tips!

Listen internet police.... I told you my personal opinion on pizza..... Would you tell a gambler that it's ok to go hang out in a casino..... Or an addict to hang out in a crack house? I understand all that stuff and I CHOOSE to avoid pizza because it's a food that is both harder to calculate calories than other foods, AND…

The amount of fat protein and carbs..... It's hard to determine exactly how many calories are in one slice and I'm trying to be as precise as possible. I also love pizza and used to eat way more than I should have. For me personally, it's best to stay away from it.

I consider pizza a delicious landmine that is best avoided. While I can't tell the calories, I do know it's going to be really high. For me it's not worth the guessing. I'd rather eat something else that i know the calorie count on. Maybe when I get closer to goal weight I'll be able to enjoy it again. But for now it's…

Really? I can't see how someone can smoke crystal meth until their teeth fall out and they look like a monster. I can't see how someone can drink so much their liver fails and they die I can't believe someone smokes cigarettes in spite of all the dangers and continue to smoke after they get cancer and a hole in their…

Get on your correct dose of synthroid and follow the normal MFP guide to lose weight. I had my thyroid surgically removed a number of years ago and told myself I couldn't lose weight because of "blah blah blah" but once I started using MFP it was just obvious I'm fat because I was eating way more than I should. I've lost…

No cheat days... That makes it feel like a diet.... And that you are doing something bad. Track your calories and try and stay in your daily limits, if you go over once in a while it's not the end of the world, but try and keep in mind that this is a lifestyle change not a diet. Some people try to have a calorie surplus…

I have a heart anyeurism so I'm not allowed to exercise and my mobility has been impaired. Lost 52 lbs since November 15 just watching CICO. I stopped ordering pizza and poutine and burgers etc because I can't accurately count the calories plus they are extremely calorie dense. Stopped eating fast food for the most part…

This is just a sooky poor me give me attention post. Looks like it succeeded

That does sound delicious though! Lol

Fresh doesn't mean fat free.... If you use oil and butter you can easily increase your fat intake. But without seeing your diary it's impossible to tell what you are eating

Did I say he should do crunches incorrectly? No! Am I responsible for making sure he knows how to do crunches correctly before recommending them? No! And my "crunches crunches crunches" comment was more to suggest he needs to focus on his abs with his workouts doing whatever exercises he can to isolate his abdominal…
-
I swear I need a freaking lawyer to read every damn comment before I post. I didn't mean ONLY do crunches..... I meant in addition to your whole body workout, which based on the ops comments and pic he is already doing, he needs to do much more ab workouts to bring them out.
-
Abs don't just appear because you lose fat... Yes you do need under 6% body fat to show them, but everyone I know who has ever had abs that showed gave the same advice... Crunches crunches crunches. You have to go crazy on the ab workouts to develop them. Like the others said you need more calories, especially protien.…
