  • Hey everyone, I'm also from the US, but I was good friends with an exchange student from the Netherlands. We were in judo together for the year he was here and was a blast to talk to and work out with. Would love to add some new motivated friends, so feel free to add me, I'm a daily logger and have an open diary
  • Lol, that's a great line and it totally made my morning, thanks! I don't normally add, but I like your sense of humor, so I'm sending a request :)
  • You have to budget for it, just like any other "treat"...Wine is my downfall as well, but I try to limit myself to a couple nights a week, mostly weekends and just eat a smaller lunch so I can have wine later. I allow myself a splurge every once in a while, but try to stick to my plan as much as possible, best of luck and…

  • I totally agree Angel, sleep is a comfort level thing...some want/need more, some live happily with less. I like about 6-8 hours, maybe more on a rare weekend morning without any plans, but I don't chuck my phone at the wall ;)
  • I made homemade corned beef and cabbage and a Katz's smoked pastrami over the weekend and not one drop survived our houseguests...the pastrami was amazing and only 40 calories an oz, so 160 cals for a quarter pound serving. This weekend all the corned beef that didn't sell for St Paddy's Day will be on sale, I foresee a…
  • For me, it's all about logging...if I'm logging, it all falls into place...I plan my meals so I know what to log, I've become a chef in many aspects, find new and healthy recipes....it's all about what makes you inspired...I'm competitive, so once I know I'm logging it down, I have to make it work, maybe it's ocd or…

  • First, so sorry for your loss, it must be incredibly difficult to deal with, but it just proves you are strong and able to overcome life's hurdles. Stay strong and use the sadness, pain and anger to push yourself to make positive and meaningful changes to your life, make new friends and rediscover ones that have previously…
  • I'm in the Jeff City area...nice to see some fellow Missourians!

  • That's also for a bowl, not a cup, so it would be more of the meal instead of just a side...I love Schlotzsky's deli, their jalapeno cheese bread is amazing, not diet friendly, but def delicious!
  • Amen! B)
  • Hi Jacey and welcome back to MFP! Best of luck on your journey here
  • I completely agree with you ladies, it's so much easier to follow a healthy eating plan on the regular work days where you have a schedule. I do my best when I use the MFP tools and log everything. I've been disciplined this year so far with only a couple of cheat weekends (damn you vino) and I've lost almost 30lbs since…
  • Awesome work, keep it up!
  • I use both, but I believe my phone app(galaxy S5 active) has a tab for goals as well and it's more automatic to set your daily calorie intake...I never log my exercise and under eat and I'm losing about three and a half pounds a week, but I eat very clean, healthy meals mostly...the closer you get to your goal, the slower…
  • Bawler, this is all pretty good advice so far, are you using your phone or the website for MFP? I'm not sure how to do it on your phone, but on the website, under the my home tab is a section called goals, you can set your own particular information and what you want to d and the website will help you set realistic…
  • Hi Dorssa, sounds like a great plan, don't forget to log...it sounds boring, but it makes me feel more accountable to myself and I can look back and see how I've been doing. Best of luck on your journey!
  • You have to love the vino! A good dry red warms the heart and the soul...
  • I feel like I'm at some kind of addiction meeting(mfp addiction maybe?)...Hi, I'm Spence and I'm a daily user and logger, I have an open diary, but we can all use friends and supporters, so feel free to add me if you'd like
  • Awesome, welcome back and best of luck on your journey! Add me if you'd like. I'm a daily user and logger and can always use a little more motivation and support!
  • I use a Samsung Galaxy s5 as well and it works fine...maybe try something different to scan, it may not be in the directory. Usually it has the red bar that turns green and then brings up the item info...the barcode has to be smooth and good lighting helps...
  • Hello and welcome to MFP! I'm a daily user and food logger. Best of luck on your journey! You can do this, it's all about daily steps and routines, not trying to get too far ahead of yourself...
  • Glad to see some fellow people in Misery, no wait, fellow Missourians! I'm a daily user as well, feel free to add me and best of luck on your journey!
  • Hi Linzi and welcome...the site has a lot of different parts and they can all be utilized or just parts, either way if you use them correctly and daily, it can make weight loss and/or maintenance easier. Best of luck on your journey, add me if you'd like and I'll give you as motivation and guidance as I can...
  • Hi Ashley, nice to hear from a fellow Missourian, best of luck on your journey!

  • Welcome back and best of luck on your journey of self help and education! It's easy to be there to lead, guide and direct others, but completely different when you do it for yourself...
  • Hi Viv and greetings from a fellow Missourian! It's a difficult struggle, but def worth it in the end! I'm a daily logger and always looking for more friends, so send me an invite or a message sometime. Best of luck on your journey!
  • Lol, it's a struggle, but so worth it! I have some delicious quickie meals that are healthy and lo cal...if you like buffalo wings, you can take a head of cauliflower, break it up into bite size pieces and add half a bottle of your favorite buffalo wing sauce (most are very low in cals, but you should check) mix and shake…
