  • MFP is like anything else, you get out of it what you put in it...there is a great community here and lots of people with insight into diet, fitness and motivation. If you decide to stay, you'll find lots of support and friends. There are lots of people who log everything using this app, which I used to do and it works…
  • Good luck on your show!!
  • Jess, I've never heard this quote, but I find it quite inspiring...thanks for sharing, it made my day
  • Well met Jess, we may have to apologize for the rude non-appreciation of your comment...in our defense, it was a Monday and nothing really good happens on a Monday, except maybe on a holiday, then it's just a recovery day from the rest of the shenanigans' from the weekend...Hope the rest of your week is going better!
  • Iron, I'm so guilty of this daily...I log religiously all morning/afternoon and then figure as long as I have a sensible dinner I'll be fine.
  • We all struggle, it's why we're here. You have taken a huge step and admitted to yourself that you have had your battles with weakness and are strong enough to face it. Keep up the good work, your doing great!
  • Welcome back, again....although it's snowing here, it's def not Toronto ;)

  • Andi, I tend to agree with Jane, if you are normally active and do additional workouts beyond your normal activity lifestyle, then I would log the exercise and eat half the calories back. I don't believe the activity tracker stats, so eating half back gives you some cushion (no pun intended ;) ). I also agree w Jane that…
  • You sound like you know the answer already, it's just the pain in the @ss of logging your food and exercise and then being consistent, even on the days when we make mistakes. Eating healthy when you have kids is extremely hard, you're on the go all the time and taking time for yourself to eat right and exercise is just one…
  • Pineapple on pizza is just wrong...but to each their own I suppose

  • Hi Hope, I'm a daily logger, not sure if accurate is 100% true, but I'm just a few days past hitting my 200 day streak...good luck on your journey and you're more than welcome to add me if you'd like
  • Hi Aimee, I'm a daily logger, not sure if accurate is 100% true, but I'm 3 days short of hitting my 200 day streak...good luck on your journey and you're more than welcome to add me if you'd like
  • My complaint is that MFP used to couple with Samsung Health and show your exercise, but now it doesn't, which isn't a big deal, just disappointing...
  • I use it as well...it couples well with my Samsung watch, keeps good steps and active minutes, but mostly I like the trends for days/weeks past to see improvement or changes in behavior
  • Fanny, under the "challenges" tab, there should be an "Less Alcohol" forum by month...they are usually pretty active. Good luck!
  • My son is a basketball player, pole vaulter and triple jumper and had issues with PF. Our sports trainer showed me a video on how to apply KT tape to help elevate his pain. It was a YouTube video, just google KT tape and PF and it comes right up. It made a world of difference for him.
  • LOL....I kinda like the Tutu with the turkey hat, it'll make a great running outfit for the turkey race!
  • Nic, the general rule of thumb that I've seen most successful people on here use, is to only eat back half of the exercise calories given in the beginning. If you lose the amount of weight you are looking for, leave it, otherwise make slight adjustments up or down in your calories...don't try to lose too much, too fast.…
  • *Sedona* I've already go my head in Napa, Sonoma is the valley next to Napa valley ;)
  • Although I don't live in AZ, we spent a week there a while back and it is amazing! Sonoma has to be one of my favorite places I've been. Some of the most beautiful scenery that I've seen and so much diversity of landscape in one state. Good luck finding local partners in crime! Add me if you'd like, we travel a lot and…
  • Hey neighbor Jo! I'm also from the Show-Me state...
  • I'm in a similar place, had friends and left for a while, now that I'm back I don't talk to many of them, so you can definitely add me if you'd like!
  • Hi Chloe, I'm a daily logger and could definitely use some additional motivating friends...add me if you'd like!
  • Hello Mrs Candi, sounds like a great start! Best of luck on your journey! If you need motivating friends, let me know or send me a request...I'm a daily logger and can always use new friends to share the journey with...
