I'm 5'9" and found that weighing between 150-160lbs is just right.

I don't really care about the calories much because I know I don't DROWN my salad in the dressing.

Do sets efficiently and eat more calories? Typical common sense. Choose exercises that you like, go online and search. Figure out your TDEE calories and play/adjust around to see what works...there's only such much advice that can be given but it is all about YOUR trial and error.

You should do slightly active since you're on the thinner side than can build it up once your weight increases smoothly.

I drink 48oz+ daily or some days I try at least 32oz. Just drink until your urine is pale yellow.

You should log in your foods daily for a week. Then take that daily average and slowly add on more calories (100,200,etc.) a day if you're capable or just every week.

You're going to put on SOME fat either way, that's the thing with bulking. You can always cut after a good consistent bulk.

Lifting is at your own pace, I don't time myself except for cardio. I make sure to try to do reps efficiently and take breaks. Probably half an hour at least.

It makes a big difference you can eat your daily calorie intake but what if you only ate carbs? You'd be missing out on eating enough of others. Not only track your calories but your macros as well- if the nutrition values looks correct upon logging.
