@chunky_pinup You're grandma looks FANTASTIC :o

That's how I feel. I look in the mirror and see no noticeable changes, and my thighs still look quite thunderous, but when I look at pics, I'm like "Oh, that doesn't look as bad as I thought"!

I feel like I may have posted on here before, so if I have...forgive me :#

Left: December 2015 Right: June 2016 About an 18lb difference

That's exactly what I say :o

I never bring up my weight loss, but when some people ask if I've lost weight and I tell them that I have, I'll sometimes get "But you weren't/not" fat.
-
Yes. I appreciate the comment (I guess), but it's my body and it's my decision to do whatever with it.

I wouldn't offer any advice on weight loss for a couple reasons. Firstly, weight loss is such a mental battle. I'm sure you would agree that a person has to be in the right state of mind in order to even begin losing weight. It took me a long time to get serious about it, and that's because I was never in the right state…

I have a friend that always complains about her weight and needing to lose weight. She actually thinks she'll start to lose if she just exercises on a consistent basis, and she barely acknowledges her diet. I see a lot of people thinking that same exact way. Using myself as an example, I used to exercise quite often a few…

Trust everyone here when they say you are going down a dangerous path. You can take their advice, or end up in the hospital. How you're feeling now can only get worse if you stay on this path. As far as the scale goes, it sounds like you just need to avoid it all together for a few months until you've changed your mindset…

Keep this up and in two months, you will notice quite the difference in yourself. Nice going!

I think it can still count as a NSV seeing as how you were mindful of what you were eating and tried to maintain balance, as opposed to just being completely glutenous  .

Nearly a 20lb difference on my 5'2 frame. About 22 more pounds to go before my goal weight range of 150-155.
-
I see. I'm not at goal yet, but I also have a range of 150-155. For me, 155 would be the highest I'd be "comfortable" with seeing on the scale whenever I weighed myself once or twice a month. Anything above that and I'd know that I'd better tighten up my diet. Of course, things may change as I get closer to my goal, so…

Is that not allowed or something?

I've been doing better the last few months with not allowing the scale to get me down. I know I've been putting in the work, but I just need to remember to trust the process and to keep going.
-
Exactly. I'm so grateful that I've been able to get to a point where I don't let that stuff negatively impact me. I can only be the best version of who myself, and that's perfectly fine. I didn't always feel that way, as most of us don't, but getting past those feelings is such a beautiful thing.

Wow, what a difference! You look fantastic! I was going to wait until the end of August to get back into weight lifting, but you just gave me a reason to start back ASAP.

I accidentally bought a romper from Target (it was on sale & I didn't thoroughly check it out :/ ) thinking it was just a long tank top that I could wear with leggings or something. I got ready to try it on and was thinking 'no way I'd EVER wear a romper with these thighs'. Turns out, it's actually pretty cute on me!…

We have food in our kitchen area quite often, but it really isn't that difficult for me to ignore it because 1) it usually isn't as good as it looks (so, not worth the calories) 2) some co-workers have some pretty gross "habits' and tend to be the first ones to rush any food that is placed back there. It hasn't always been…

A woman in my office told me told me she could really tell that I lost weight and that I needed to stop being so humble about it :D. It is most certainly true that I have a hard time taking a compliment, but I'm working on it! Also, the scale hasn't moved downward in awhile (although I'm sure I'm holding water from sore…

Also, try to make small changes. Don't worry about "healthier" foods. You don't have to eat lettuce, brown rice and chicken all the time for weight loss - all you need is to consume less calories than you burn. Trying to do too much at once is extremely overwhelming and can set you up for failure. When you all can move out…

Do you wake that early with him in order to go to the gym at work to work out OR because you actually need a ride to work first and foremost? How long have you been doing this? This doesn't seem like an ideal situation at all and would get old very fast. Also, you're more than likely eating way more than you think. If you…

Unless you just don't trust yourself with eating whatever you want in moderation, why isn't it that an option for you? I really wouldn't worry too much about one day, but I wouldn't absolutely pig out, either. I'd allow myself to enjoy whatever I wanted...in moderation.
-
Exactly.

I had two done at once...I ate applesauce later in the day of the extraction, and the next day I was able to carefully chew some solids with my front teeth. I didn't bother with any strong pain meds because it really didn't hurt after the numbness wore off; there was just some soreness and discomfort in feeling the…

This isn't necessarily what you asked, but I'm going to say it anyway because I feel like it would've helped me in the beginning if someone had told me this: If I were you, I'd focus on the amount of calories I need to be eating in a day, first, and then worry about macros a little later after I've gotten into a good…

A relative recently asked what I was doing to lose weight and I told her I stopped eating ALL the food and started moving more. Another relative replied "See, I like to eat so I know that won't work for me". I just told her "Yeah, me too" and left it at that. Um, I think we ALL enjoy food and like to eat. It's always one…

Sounds like you just ate at maintenance. No biggie, just choose the better option for your next meal/snack.
