I salt them lightly then I use the paper towels to dry them. They are a bit wet to start with and the salt drawls more liquid out. I didn't rinse them.

We aren't doctors. We shouldn't be helping anyone self diagnose themselves. Clearly she has been to her doctor since she states her doctor told her to exercise more. Yes....exercise more if you want to keep eating the calories you are eating. Loosing weight is a matter of eating a calorie deficit, as others have said. You…

I prefer Tetley, to be honest.

Dont listen to a beach body coach they just want to sell you work out videos so they get a cut. Look up bodyweight exercises for stregnth training you can do with little to no equipment. Lots of free at home videos on youtube.

Fat helps satiety so that's not something you want to cut. Reduce your carbs and eat more veggies. Lots of veggies. You can choose to add legumes and beans but they can be calorie dense so you will want to watch your portion size.

Guys. Real mayo isn't bad for you. It's mostly just eggs and oil. Get the dust off your blender and make a quick homemade version. The difference is amazing. And for gods sake don't touch lite or fat free. Look at the ingredients in it. If it doesn't scare you something is wrong.

Smoked pulled pork (from Costco), steamed broccoli, zucchini cooked in kerry gold butter.

Bipolar 2 (which is the depression one) and anxiety. A combo of finally getting on the right meds + the keto diet has been very helpful. Keto is a low carb diet. Originally a diet that was used to control seizures in epileptics. Quite a few mental health drugs and mood stabilizers are also anti seizure meds. One of my meds…

Depends on what your goals are. Do you want to loose weight? Log everything.

There is a lot of wrong information in here. Firstly....bulletproof coffee is for low carbers. It should contain coffee of course, then heavy cream or butter if you want the fat. Then the oil should be an MCT oil. Some coconut oils are MCT oils. MCT helps keep you in ketosis. Which if you are a dedicated low…

I have no idea why I didn't think of this, lol. I weighed the meat off of 3 wings to give myself an average. This is far better.

A pat of Kerry Gold and some baby spinach. Just lightly cooked until the spinach starts to wilt. Little bit of salt and pepper.

Carbs : Peppers : 6g in 1 pepper Broccoli 6g in 1 cup Kale - 6g in 1 cup Peas - 21g in 1 cup Peanut Butter - 6g in 2 tbsp Apple - 25g Banana - 25g Medium baked potato : 30+ Rice: 40+ per cup. Chicken and salmon have no carbs. Eggs have minimal carbs, maybe half a carb each. Veggies is probably where your problem is. All veggies are not created equal in terms of carbs. For example, 100g of zucchini has just under 3 carbs vs peas which are around 15 carbs for that same 100g. A baby carrot has about 1 carb in it.…

fajitas, skip the tortilla. With guac of course!

Fat phobia. Do you remember the sudden pressure to buy low fat, reduced fat, fat free items 20 years ago? Maybe before that. We were taught that fat is bad. Avoid it. When they removed the fats in foods, they added sugars. Fat helps you feel full. You can eat plenty of fat and loose weight. Fat is not something to be…

The ratio doesn't matter that much if you are loosing weigh, and it just may not be for you. Eating fat helps you feel full and satisfied. To make my calorie goals, I may add a tablespoon of olive oil or butter somewhere.

Depends. Some people do well with a higher amount of carbs, some prefer a low carb diet. In terms of loosing weight, its just a matter of a calorie deficit.

Weight lifting and HIIT ups your metabolism. What are your macros? I follow this : http://keto-calculator.ankerl.com/ Which comes out to be : * 1357 kcal Goal, a 30% deficit. (722 min, 1938 max) * 20g Carbohydrates * 93g Protein (70g min, 115g max) * 101g Fat (30g min, 165g max) I have to re-do it every so often when I…

Weight lifting boosts your metabolism which in turn causes you to burn more calories over all. So maybe you burn 60 calories an hour sitting around watching tv but with that boost maybe you burn 70 an hour now. You can have a boost for a considerable amount of time after you have been weight lifting.

Lots of us! I've lost almost 30 pounds now.

I am fat. So what? It's just an adjective to describe me. There are many adjectives to describe me. Why don't we stop treating the word fat like it has to come with a side of shame and a cup of self loathing. Some of us are here to loose weight, sure. But that doesn't mean we need to break each other down in the process.

This always makes me laugh a bit. Everyone outside of Philly puts green peppers in their recipe. You would be hard pressed to find actual green peppers on a cheesesteak in Philly. And no mozzarella!
-
Absolutely worth your time. What else would you be doing while waiting for coffee to brew? Standing around?

I actually can't stand cottage cheese except for in lasagna. It's how my mom always made it.

I've made this before and its pretty fantastic :)

Nuts are a big problem for me as well. I recently started buying Planters Nut-rition- single packs. It has almonds, cashews and like 2-3 macadamia nuts (lol). I try to keep myself to 1 pack a day at lunch.
