I recently also had a whoosh. I am 4 pounds down since Sunday. Feels nice.

Yes you'll lose weight, just beware that 1200 calories diets are hard to stick to for some people. If you start getting irrationally hungry or have mood swings I'd suggest eat more like 1400, but if not you should be fine. You'd lose weight eating under 1500, so eating 1200 you'll definitely see some fat slide off.

I used to do 20:4 but stopped simply because eating 1500 calories in 4 hours was really hard, but I did feel pretty good on IF 20:4 and I'm a female, I might go back to it. Now I guess I go 12:12 which isn't IF but I try to have breakfast at 6AM and not eat past 6PM (and no not because of the 3 hours before bed myth).

Never. I aim to burn 2300 and I eat 1500. If I have a day where I am super active and burn 2500, I still eat 1500. If I have a lazy day and burn 1800 I still eat 1500.

Also when you manually add weight training in exercise the numbers are outrageous. As far as lifting weights goes it's crap. To OP: As a college student with a fear of elevators and bus crashes, it's nice to see how much I walk everyday. I got mine in February. I have lost all my fat years ago and did it with a piece of…

I track everything, it's closed because I don't want the internet knowing every time i do my boyfriend a "service". Calories are calories...

Only when I lift weights. Other than that I can not be bothered to sit still.

I dance for cardio (like I am out of breath by the end heart racing), cardio doesn't have to be painful. I also lift weights to preserve muscle during my cut. I'd say both. A little cardio, a little weights. Won't hurt.

Ignore user button, use it and don't look back. Those people might be sour or who knows.

Yay, now if only my wallet worked the same way! :'(

Anyone else here have no gym access? I've gained all my muscle through high rep with dumbbells on my bedroom floor. Currently throwing 30lbs dumbbells around. I am now able to squat with two 30lbs dumbbells 50 times with extreme ease compared to last month. Feels good. Saving up for 40lbs dumbbells right now but I want my…

Body stuff is bull, but I'm not surprised a doctor might still believe in that, our knowledge on the human body is constantly changing and that doctor might not be up to date. Also at the end of the day calories are calories whether they come from the mold under the sink or your garden. If you are eating less than you burn…

Premiere Protein. 30g for 160cal and I can get it in bulk at Sam's Club. Tastes horrific though but I'm not drinking it for it's flavor so I suck it up.

Hey there! I have gained all my muscle via in home workout and dumbbells. What do they weigh? Do you have a set or just one? Feel free to add me also.

There's 1 day of hell then 6 days of "hahahahaha you're tired and bloated". I usually just take it slower. Try to stay away from sugar because it makes my cramps even worse. I enjoy lifting so I still do it, but if I start feeling bad I'll listen to my body. Sometimes it's nice to get the blood moving, and it's also a good…

Protein. Because I'm building muscle.

Yes. I have fitbit flex, I use my fit bit to see what I burn and MFP to see what I ate. It's not hard. I'd rather do that then sync, cause syncing is a headache and a half.

I'm 19, I'll add you. Nice to have some friends closer to my age. Also any one else on this thread, add me!

They are uncomfortable honestly it's way easier to lose the weight and tighten your core up with body weight exercises in my opinion.
-
I use free weights, machines are in my opinion doing work for you. They balance and position the weight just right so you don't have to. I guess what I'm saying is free weights you get more bang for your buck.
-
You can't have it all, you have to make time for exercising. To OP, get some sleep. It's real important.
-
I like my fit bit, but I got it for one reason: Sleep. I am trying to be better with my sleep habits and the Fitbit Flex let's me track my sleep habits. It depends on why you want it.

Okay good! Then yeah you should be aiming to net 1200 ish not 1000 ish. MFP may be giving you a lower projection because extreme deficits like this lead to people not sticking to it and then binge eating or cheating. I remember when I struggled with depression super bad and was eating barely 1000 MFP weight loss…

Starvation Mode doesn't exist. 1200 kcal is assumed to be enough to get all your nutrients so you aren't malnourished. Under that you are likely not getting enough.
-
Little off topic but the burn calculators on here are more generous than not. If MFP is saying you burned 500 it's probably more like 300-400 or lower. Thus why people who eat their exercise calories back only eat half of them.
-
Yeah same. At 1500 I don't eat back. FitBit trying to tell me I burn 2500 calories a day. So how am I able to bulk eating 2100 fitbit?? Hmmm something is not adding up.
