Will power isn't the only thing that's going to keep you going. That's only a part of it. You need to have determination, dedication, and willingness to see it through. You have to remember that it's a lifestyle change.

I would not do a cheat day. If you do a "cheat" or "treat", do one cheat meal because a cheat day is going to derail any progress you made during the week. Eat the cheat meal and move on. Go back to eating healthier options for the following meals.

I just bought clothes as I lost the weight. I had XL starting out and went to Large...I lost like 40 something pounds and bought all Small pants and Bras. Now my smalls are too big after a 54 pounds lost. Damn sure not about to size down to XS LOL.

In the end, you want to be able to successfully lose the weight and keep it off. I changed my goal to .5 pound per week after I had already lost a significant amount of weight. Now that I only have like 8-9 ponds to go, my weight loss is moving at snail pace but I'm ok with this because I'm in no rush :)

I think it can be done either way. But at the end of the day, you are the only person holding yourself back. Nobody can make you change or stop you from reaching your goals but you. It's not going to be easy but it will be worth it.

WOW amazing transformation!

I lost 50+ lbs on the free version. I don't mind a few ads :)

My goal weight was the top of the BMI chart which was 150. Once I got there I then wanted to go 10 pounds below that at 140. Currently 137 so going for 130 now. I started at 191.

Thanks everyone. The only tips I really have are to never give up or throw away a week of success because of ONE or two bad days. Get right back on track and forge on.

Definitely do weight training and lots of compound movements because your body will still continue to burn calories after the workout is over. Weights first, cardio, then abs if you are pairing them same day :D

I would change your goal to .5 to 1 pound per week. You would still lose a significant amount of weight each week given your current weight at 227. Being healthy and satisfied food wise but not underrating for the sake of weight loss is your goal here because you want to be able to maintain your healthy lifestyle after…

Exercising too much can put a lot of stress on your body causing water retention. I would ease up on the exercising to once a day for 45 minutes or less. Eat properly and measure everything you are consuming.

YES! Its a game changer!

I honestly would invest in a food scale because it'll be the most accurate. Once you get to the point where you are, your calorie intake must be 100 percent precise to see the scale move again. I noticed that about my body as I got to where you are.

Thanks for the insight everyone! Guess I have to be patient and try something new!

Once your activity tracker syncs for the final time at the end of the day, the "calories burned" will be significantly lower. I track my steps and it will say I burned 400-500 calories extra in the middle of the day showing me with a surplus of calories. But once I sync it end of day for the final time, it will be like 45…

Yes it's possible. Very easy to gain but harder to lose. I lost around 45 pounds before a trip. Went on vacation for 5 days...gained 8 pounds. Took me nearly 6 months to lose that weight I gained in a week. Just resume what you were doing before. You can lose it again.

Currently wearing size 6/8 US from size 16 Height: 5'5 Weight 141 lbs from 191 lbs :D

Almost similar stats. Feel free to add me. Currently 50 lbs lost with 11 more to go until goal weight. 5'5 SW: 191 CW: 141 GW: 130

I don't believe you are eating in a deficit. I drive commercially 5 days a week for 12 hours a day without the option of getting up until quitting time. I've lost 48 pounds.

Yes it does help you lose weight when you honestly answer the assessment and follow the calorie goal as suggested. I have been logging on MFP for almost 2 years and have lost close to 50 pounds. When you get a visual picture of your eating habits, it will help you to make better choices.

That's awesome! I actually started in the obese category at 191 lbs. It took me a few months but once I hit 150 (healthy BMI) range, I was so freaking happy. Keep going! Your hard work will pay off!

Thank you all for your suggestions!

Height: 5'5 SW: 191 CW: 143 Took little over a year to lose. Been maintaining for the last few months. Looking to lose about 13 more and I'll be in at my goal weight of 130.
-
Feel free to add me. I have already lost a significant amount of weight but I still have about 14 more pounds to lose.

I personally wouldn't cut out so many foods so quickly. I would ease up on them and then slowly cut them out of your diet. I still ate fast food during my journey but I made different choices on what I would order, and paid very close attention to the ingredients and calories. About 6 months into successfully losing, I…

You are still down over 100 pounds! Life is way to short to worry! Get back on track and stay on track to get the weight right back off. It's not going to be easy but the longer you sit and worry, the more off track you're going to get and the more the scale will creep up. I just went on vacation in November and when I…

You can always try portion control containers. I personally don't mind calorie counting. It makes me more aware of what I'm eating. https://www.amazon.com/Healthy-Living-Containers-COMPLETE-included/dp/B01AMCTFBK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1480672678&sr=8-3&keywords=portion+control+food+containers

I personally like vanilla almond milk. Less calories.

Being told I was class 1 obese and pre-diabetic are what led me to my journey!
