I dress in a way that hides things so people who didn't know me before all the weight gain don't believe me that I'm overweight.

Hello. Trying to get back into working out. I'm at 170 and looking to lose about 50.
-
I just started and I think it's an excellent idea to use in addition to the scale. I've lost about an inch in the waist and hips - but the scale hasn't moved much. It gives you a much better idea of if you're making progress than just scale alone.

Sweetcup Gelato in Houston, TX. They have a pomegranate rose sorbet that I would at least consider killing for.

I understand. I love mint flavored things, so I grab gum a lot. Unfortunately, sometimes I grab the kind with aspartame, which gives me severe bloating and cramps that rival the ones I have on my cycle. Blech.

I'm a Broadway fanatic, so I listen to the Hamilton soundtrack a lot, especially when I'm jogging. It's actually very helpful cause the minute George Washington says "attack!" in "Stay Alive" I start running like hell.

I love smoked gouda. I eat it with strawberries.

...Huh? Did she maybe think (erroneously) that a human can only absorb that much of the protein?

Last time I saw my mother she poked me in the stomach and started giggling about all the free meals I've gotten since I got a promotion with my company. She kept poking me in the stomach the whole visit. This goal is partly for me and partly to get back at her (I am a being of spite, wooooo!). I admitted to myself that I'm…

Getting married in April and I'm around your height and weight, iluvbep. Feel free to add me if you wish.

Hopefully seeing Deadpool.

I actually really like Daily Burn. I'm doing the free month trial now - it's good for me because I'm still a little self conscious about the gym and I stopped going for runs because the times I'm not at work, it's dark outside and I don't feel safe. They have a lot of options, so that's nice. But some of those trainers are…

Let us know how it looked! I can see buying the dress early and a little smaller as a way of motivation, but ...they're just so stupidly expensive to begin with (I'm going shopping with someone who is very confused that I did not want to spend more than $300 on one dress, if that) that if you can't wear it and often can't…

Anyone is welcome to add me if they wish.

I know nothing about the Keto diet, but I can offer support (I'm getting married in April but haven't bought the dress yet, partially in hopes I'll be smaller when I go next month to pick one out). You can certainly add me if you'd like a friend.

My excuse for a while was "dear god, it is cold out, I am not going out there!" but I have a Roku box and recently go the Daily Burn channel, so now I can't use that excuse. I also tended to go "But I get bored running" so I loaded cartoons and tv shows onto my tablet and when I do hit the tread mill I just watch those. So…

So much this. Where I work a lot of the people are over weight so when I push away the cake for the monthly birthday parties and things I get a lot of "But you're thin already!" ...actually, I'm overweight, I just have a body that hides it a bit better than some other shapes. For right now pointing out I'm getting married…

It's not that many calories, but I usually just either have a smoothie or have coffee with chocolate protein powder added to it.

I'm only on about my third week or so, but I feel more rested, fuller and less sluggish than I typically do.

Anyone who pulls the "Just stop being picky and be an adult" thing on you. If I don't LIKE what I'm eating, I'm going to give it up and find something I do like. Now I do think it's ok advice for anyone who refuses to even try new recipes, but if you're trying stuff and just not liking it you're going to go back to bad…

I have one but keep forgetting about it. Mostly I just cut up cucumber and pour water over it in a mason jar and let it sit over night. Cucumber is a very strong flavor! Sometimes I do lemon and rosemary and I have some lavendar I keep forgetting to toss in there. Definitely helpful since I was a huge soda drinker before…

I get up early to do my exercise - I've got a desk job that doesn't allow for much movement and a commute that makes gym time kind of out of the question unless I don't want to see my family. So I get up at 4:30 and run, lift weights whatever.
-
I only do short distances in the morning, but always before I eat. I find if I sit down and eat first I'm less motivated to go work out and sometimes it ends up making me nauseous. I just sip some water before hand and that's usually enough.
-
I haven't even bought the dress yet. Waiting until next month. Partially because of hopeful weight loss goals and partially because I don't want to have to alter it multiple times.

My wedding will be April 16, 2016. Not a whole lot of time. Want to weigh 40 pounds less by then, but realistically more likely (if I stick with it) to be down by about twenty or so. Good luck and feel free to add me if you wish.
-
I do daily because it's a better motivator for me. If I lost, whoo-hoo, this is working! If I haven't it motivates me to keep going. I just have to remind myself some weight fluxes are going to happen no matter what.

I need accountabilibuddies - getting married in April and want to be down as many pounds as I can (in a healthy way) by that time. I've been on this site for a while but last time I tried this I gave up after about a week and hadn't tried to make friends previously.
