Maybe it's one of their favorite items, so by typing the heart in, they can pull up their favorites quickly. Just a guess..

I find this topic interesting, because I don't often get hit on either. I've been told that I seem unapproachable, and usually if I have a drink or two, relax a bit and smile more, it will happen. I don't think it's really about looks all that much. It's more about the vibe.

I'm addicted to La Croix flavored sparkeling water. My favorites are the grapefruit and the coconut. Also makes great mixed drinks for a low cal adult beverage. There are no sweeteners at all, 0 calories, 0 sodium!

Just returned from Mardi Gras in Louisiana...time for some damage control!

This is the hoop I have. It is perfectly weighted for fitness, and perfect adult size. I tried a hoop bought at local sporting goods store, but it was too heavy and bruised me too much.…

Just returned from Mardi Gras in Louisiana. The party is over, and time to do some damage control.

I haven't been on this thread in a very long time, but nice to see that it's still going. I'm 48, and have been on MFP for a little over a year. Nice to see so many active people in my age group.

Me too :)

I have always had a problem finding good support in a sports bra in larger cup size and small band size (currently 34G). This is by far the best supportive bra I've worn. I have 3 of them, and use the j-hook for even better support. My girls don't move, even when running. Worth every penny you will pay for it.…

Thanks for clarifying. The added calisthenics makes sense for the higher burn. When I hoop dance, it's strictly hooping movements.

I am also a fellow hooper! Not many of us here. I do Hoopnotica and use a weighted hoop that is especially made for fitness and hoop dancing. Its a great cardio workout!

I'm glad I bookmarked this thread! I've found so many great people my age here. Welcome newcomers!

I'm 48 now, but was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at 40 yrs old. I've been on synthroid for 8 years, and it has not stopped me from losing almost 40 lbs. within the last year.

Mostly power walking outdoors or on treadmill, some kickboxing, dancing, and hoopnotica. No set workout plan, just depends on my mood. I get outdoors as much as possible during fall-spring. Summers in Houston TX are miserable outdoors.

Usually, the major chain restaurants will have nutrition info on their website. Very few restaurants actually put it on the menu. I wish they did.

Look up the roll in the data base, and you should be able to find something close. I eat sushi all the time, and can usually find whatever I eat in the data base.

48 years young here, and active daily. Look on forums for the "middle agers" thread. You'll find lots of people in their 40's.
-
Lots of new activity here since I last had a look! Way to represent middle age losers!!

I'm so trying this! Thanks for sharing! :)

This is my favorite. I eat this at least once a week, and I use canned salmon with pico de gallo, and eat with avocado. http://www.skinnytaste.com/canned-tuna-ceviche/

It took me alot of years of trying all kinds of stuff to realize that it's not rocket science. Glad you figured it out quickly! Congratulations on your new beginning!

So many new faces here...welcome new peeps!

Whatever you do, you must do for yourself, and no one else. That's the only way you will be successful. You might try explaining to your husband your "why", and he would be more understanding and supportive. Him being unintentionally unsupportive could have to do more with his own feelings or insecurities than yours.

I second Bolthouse Farms greek yogurt dressings. You will find them in the refridgerated produce section. Usually 35-40 cals for a 2 tbsp serving. My favorite is the Cilantro Avocado. I use it on salads and wraps.
