WOW! Did you really loose 25 lbs? I lost 49 in 7 months (from 226 to 177) and is noticeable but nothing like you. Great job! Keep it up.

That's awesome. Pushups are the one thing I can't do yet. But I will.

Yesterday, my new masters swim instructor asked me if I had ever taken strokes classes before and that I should. Although it is true that I am a self taught swimmer that has a lot to learn, and I know she said what she said to help me, I felt a bit hurt. I woke up today and this little self talk helped me: I told to…

I hate to go to the hair salon because I don't like to see the image that the mirror returns of me seating in front of it. Last Friday I was due for a haircut and color. Oh surprise! I actually liked the person I saw reflected on the mirror. ☺

Great comments but just an observation: The OP hasn't posted in 1 1/2 months.

Amazing job! Thank you for sharing.

I think this is the best way to fall off the wagon and not being able to go back up on. But everybody is different. I wish you the best.

You are such an inspiration! Congratulations on all your achievements.

Good luck!

Congratulations on your weight loss. I would not dare to give advice but I can tell you what it worked for me. I don't think of losing weight as a diet, I think of it as a life style. Eat what you like and enjoy within your budget. If you want a piece of cake, make it fit within your day. If you want to eat pasta, do it,…

First of all congratulations on your achievement. You got wonderful responses and I can't add anything to that. I only can only tell you about my experience. I've being up and down for a long time, WW, Mediterranean diet, Keto, you name it, and after about 3-5 months of being strict, one day I needed to eat something that…

Congratulations on your accomplishment! Absolutely outstanding and I am sure your story will motivate many others that feel lost right now. I wish you the best.

Thank you everybody for your input! When I ran the half marathon while on keto I woke up a couple of hours before the run started to take Ucane but it did not work. Regarding my weight I still log everyday. I've been eating more than I used to before upping my weekly mileage but I will give it time as my body adapts as…

Hi everybody, This is a little update on my journey to the Chicago Marathon. Three weeks ago I run a half marathon while on keto. I finished it but it was like hell. I thought about quitting every step of the way. I just wanted to stop and call my husband to come pick me up. I am not fast. I've never been. I am 59 and 40…

Definitely not true. Fire your trainer.

Thank you all for your comments and advice. I have also found some very interesting articles in women's running and other sites. I'll put in practice some of your suggestions and will keep you posted. Thank you again!

I only replenish electrolytes. I just bought UCAN super starch but haven't started to use it. Everything I used in the past to fuel is full of sugar. I don't really know what to use. Thank you for responding.

Hi, I am back at running too and I am going to run the Chicago Marathon (second marathon ever) in October. I also lack motivation and energy. It seems that I cannot cut calories and train at the same time. Maybe because I train alone. I know I just have to DO IT! but... I am 59 by the way.

Ramadan Mubarak everybody!

Keep at it mrs_BF and the weight will start to come off. I incorporated intermittent fasting and it did it. Since I started 50 days ago, I lost 16 pounds. It is not as fast as I thought it would be but I can see the progress. I did have to cut calories to loose weight.

Sallyann8, I am also doing intermittent fasting. I feel much better, but the weight is coming off very slow. I will keep on doing it though.
