Amazing achievement congratulations!

Hi! I’m in the same boat, no more fad diets that I last a week or two on - time to just be mindful of calories and stop making excuses

Thank you all!!! So very helpful. I think I will start at 1500-1600, as I only tend to have lunch and dinner naturally and I can get decent meal sizes there. It just means cutting down big time on snacks and swapping flatwhites for long blacks, which I want to do anyway. I kept reading over and over “don’t eat below your…

Hi! I related to that whole intro. I only (re)joined MFP yesterday so am looking for these tips myself though. One thing I’ve started doing is having my goal weight number as my phone background so it’s a little reminder of my goal every time I open my phone so it’s always present in my mind. I find it helpful so far!

I'm starting SW this week if anyone would like to add me/do it with me! I'd love the support :)
-
Thanks! That makes logical sense that you'd keep losing, but upping your calories also seems counter active to the diet but I guess that's why it's maintenance not weight loss? I mean it's all a lifestyle change but yknow what I mean! Thank you
-
Wow that is incredible! You should be very proud of yourself :) Is that you now in your profile photo? You look great! I'd love to see your transformation, I'm hoping for similar :) Thank you xx

I'm starting it next week :) I have a problem with willpower & evening snacking so I'm also thinking about giving 16:8 a go at the same time so I don't go over calories in the evening. Just make sure you eat the right amount of calories on non fat days - not too few or too many. Check your TDEE. I'm eating less than my…

Thank you! Will look into that :)

Thanks! Will definitely look into all that. I'm not vegan though prefer to avoid animal based products on a regular basis. I have almond milk in my porridge purely out flavour preference. I'll definitely add some nuts and seeds to my diet and mix up the fruit and add some leafy greens to my two later meals. And an oil…

Thanks everyone :)

That's the thing, MFP suggested 1214 calories per day to lose 1kg a week with a desk job. But like I said, that seems quite low for someone with so much to lose? I think I will aim for between 1400-1600 each day and see how it goes.
-
Oh that's all really helpful thank you. I will be super strict on weighing and tracking every little thing for a month and see how that goes. I think you're right and I do forget about little things like cooking oil or a tiny bit of something and think oh that won't matter but it evidently must. Thank you!

Oh sorry! Current weight is 99kg, height is 5'7 and goal weight is around 65kg (could be more, I'll stop when I'm happy but 65 is around about) TDEE is 2140, BMR is 1700ish and I have an office job where I sit down all day (this is when I put the weight on) and go to the gym 3 days a week, aim for four but realistically…

Thanks everyone - I will start measuring every single thing I eat and see if that helps. I don't eat large portions but they might be larger than they need to be. What is your view on eating fewer calories (eg around 1400) until the goal weight is reached and then upping to closer to your TDEE though? I'm really curious as…

I've added you :) Anyone else feel free to add me, makes it more fun!
-
I'm 5'7 and goal is about 65kg/143lbs. Maybe a little less or a little more! Whenever I'm happy really :)

Office Manager at the countries biggest radio company - lots of perks ;)

I'm pretty boring and a creature of habit but I tend to stick to: Oats w raspberries Almonds Brown rice, peas and green beans Quest bar (maybe not clean but I need extra protein) Chicken and broccoli or a vege stir fry or courgetti with a passata bolognese sauce :)

I don't like breakfasts either - I naturally start eating from about midday and finish around 7. But I'm trying to start eating breakfast though I don't think it's a big deal if you don't eat it. Like others have said - that's essentially intermittent fasting which a lot of people gain benefits from x
