Weight loss vs Maintenance

Hi!
My question is, if I eat at a deficit to my current TDEE to drop the fat (100lbs to lose, eep!), when I go to maintain (eventually!) would I then eat my TDEE for that weight? Even if it's higher in calories than my fat losing diet?
Eg.
My current TDEE is 2352 and I intend to eat 1600 calories a day and increase the deficit the more I lose.
At my goal weight my TDEE will be 1740.
So say I lose the last of my weight on a 1300-1400 calorie plan, will i gain weight if I go up to my TDEE of my goal weight of 1740? As its an additional 340 cals a day? Would you just do it gradually eg 100 calories extra every month or something? Or do you have to stay at the amount of calories you are to lose the weight?
Thank you!

You increase to the TDEE of your new weight. If you didn't you would continue to lose weight.
I ate 2000 calories a day on average throughout my weight loss (over 120 lbs lost). Right now my TDEE is around 2350, so if I eat 2000 I still lose weight.3 -
Thanks! That makes logical sense that you'd keep losing, but upping your calories also seems counter active to the diet but I guess that's why it's maintenance not weight loss? I mean it's all a lifestyle change but yknow what I mean!

If you eat more than TDEE you will gain. If you eat at TDEE you maintain. If you less than TDEE you will lose.2

TDEE total daily energy expenditure.
Everything one does in a day
An off site calculator can work this out for you. It is good to use if your daily activity and exercise are consistent.
NEAT non exercise activity thermogenesis.
This is everything one does in a day except exercise. It is good to use if your exercise is varied and inconsistent.
It is how MFP calculates your exercise. It means one can lose weight without exercise, but if one exercises one enters ones calories into MFP and eats them back.
