Have you tried black cold brew? All the punch of full caffeine black coffee but much less bitter.

I’ll bow to your superior experience but in all my years I’ve never known of a new ACL tear that wasn’t accompanied by severe bruising and pain. Only when there is total separation and/or previous history of ACL tears (usually resulting in surgery and scarring) have I know it to present with no pain or hema. But again you…

Highly unlikely to be an ACL year with no pain and no visible bruising (the ACL bleeds like h*ll when torn).

My “new” (since 1year ago) gym is an old fashioned sweat box on an estate. No air con, no windows, just bars and racks plus a watt bike. Seriously old skool. Took some getting used to but there’s never a queue for the squat rack.

Assuming that your form is good (weight of heels, knees pushing out) and it’s not painful I wouldn’t worry. Docs rarely admit it but sometimes stuff just feels weird and there’s nothing they can do and indeed nothing is wrong. Everyone is built slightly differently and everyone has quirks in their organs, joints, muscles…

MMR was accurately measuring my calorie burns but also adding an extra 200km to every run. And then calculating my speed based on the time spent running. So for instance 213km in an (accurate) 60 mins. Giving me a speed of say 22 secs per km... ✈️

Just a “popping” noise or sensation isn’t usually much to worry about - just stuff in the joint getting quickly expelled when you bend the joint. “Stiff”, “tingly” and “numb” could be more concerning as it could indicate something becoming trapped or compressed in the squat movement. Do you have anyone who can watch you…

Weirdly- chocolate. I thought I was a real chocoholic but actually I don’t miss it at all.

Have you double checked your figure? I’ve just looked and a medium is 57 cals (black, no milk). You sure you didn’t read down the “100g serving” column accidentally?

Never. I’ve never eaten an avocado or anything avocado based. Amazingly I’m still alive...

Had mine for 3 years and it still works perfectly. Now the headphones...those I’ve changed twice. I use an Apple Watch to track. That will also sync to Bluetooth waterproof headphones for music.

I get up at 4am to run when it’s that hot and humid. Still not pleasant but better than the dreadmill.

Training for my first 10km in Sept with plans for a half next Sept. up to 9.3km this morning!

Muscle doesn’t weigh more than fat - it’s a common myth. 1lb is 1lb whether it’s made up of fat or muscle. The same VOLUME of muscle weighs more than fat which is where some people get confused. So if your measurements had stayed the same but you had gained weight, a muscle gain could be to blame. But if you are eating at…

Absolutely. I research local pools and gyms ahead of times and make the most of any jet lag by exercising at odd hours when the facilities are quiet. I usually come back lighter than when I went

Beware the lessons learned from small samples...

I use an Apple Watch to track my speed, laps and calories burned. I find it’s much more accurate than MFP which massively overestimates

Funnily enough I just found out the same thing. Went for a supplement. Teeny tiny pill gives me 100% of RDI. Plus what I eat during the day. So should be ok.

Lost 112lbs eating back every single yummy exercise calorie.

The whole concept of your body having a set weight that it tries to revert to has pretty much been debunked. If you aren’t losing weight after dieting for a while (4-6 weeks) something is wrong with your CICO calculation.
-
Have you checked out Parkinsons.org? They have a good diet section.
-
Try looking online for approved USDA calorie values. Don’t blindly use the MFP entries as they can be wildly incorrect

25g low cal protein powder 16g frozen spinach 100g frozen mixed berries 100g frozen raspberries Water Blend. Drink. Yummy! Works out about 200 calories for a large tumbler.

237lbs to 125lbs in about 22 months

OMG I have exactly the same problem. Going to 5-10km app, experienced 5km runner. Suddenly developed an achy right hip.

Echo what others said about getting him signed up to a running club, ideally one with a youth coach. A poorly hashed out plan can cause him to lose focus, become bored and resent running. Experienced youth coaches know how to challenge the runner without over training them.

I would recommend seeing a doctor if you feel that your sweating is excessive. Not that I think there is necessarily a problem but there are a few conditions where hyperhidrosis is a symptom. Best to get it checked out.

3lbs when in ovulate. At least.

Plateaus don’t automatically happen. In 2.5 years I’ve never had one. I’ve lost some weeks, I’ve gained some week and I’ve even stayed the same some weeks. But I’ve never plateaued

I hate that some people think that “brownie” means “dry, stale chocolate cake”. Ugh.
