  • Like, say you're doing 30min at resistance 5 and you're in your target HR for most of it. Maybe some light intervals.
  • 1. You should see an endocrinologist. As you're trying to get pregnant, make it a reproductive endocrinologist if you can. They specialize in hormones and how they impact pregnancy/fertility. They will be able to make a full and proper assessment of your situation and how to proceed. Maybe medication, maybe just lifestyle,…
  • Thanks. I'll see if I can find the salted caramel or chocolate chip cool whey. Another thing I've done is mix plain Greek yogurt with a pudding cup, then freeze it a bit to thicken and get very cold. Creamy, not too sweet and with a little tang. I've tried chocolate and butterscotch and both were delicious.
  • I saw this and googled it - reviews are very unkind. Apparently the texture is awful, very liquid.
  • Thanks for the Cool Whey review. I almost bought it yesterday but it was too expensive to chance. What flavours do you recommend?
  • I have 2: 1. I'm about 10lbs away from being <200lbs (would be 40lbs lost) for the first time in a long time. I hope to get there before I go away in December. 2. Started going to the gym regularly for the first time ever (admittedly it's only been 1.5 weeks, but I've already broken previous records). I want to keep it up…
  • Did yoga today. It was suggested I try chair yoga. Infer what you will from this.
  • I've no doubt the natural tension plays a part, but it's gotten worse since I started exercising. It's kind of along my spine on both sides. Low-mid back (below the shoulder blades).
  • Hi Angel. Welcome and good luck. You'll get there, just focus on small goals. Non weight ones can be more motivating. (Tracking, eating or not specific things, something fitness related). I would say the first thing is to get a scale and start tracking. Also make sure you don't eat too little - calories should be based on…
  • Thanks. Just to be clear - my current goal is "go to gym regularly" and the classes are really good for that. I'm very happy with how I'm doing. I was trying to preempt the gym bros who give a detailed analysis of their best ever body building fat busting program to every question.
  • I currently have 1200ish calories left for dinner (going to the gym). I will eat them all. McDonald's or Dagwood's (like Subway, but actually good)....that is the questions.
  • Started at 240 at the beginning of 2016. Now I'm at 210. 10 more lbs to onederland! Good luck and/or congrats to everyone! *It's all diet and I'm not consistently consistent hence slow loss. Minimal regains though (never more than 5lbs) so I'm really ok with it all.
  • The I like Bon Matin bread. Most are 110cal per slice, but some are 110-160cal for 2 slices. It's in the normal bread section. It's proper full sized slices of bread, not teensy nothing's like WW bread. I also like that there's no (or far less than most) added nonsense.
  • Good to know I'm not alone in this.
  • Oh, I'm not depressed I'm doing fine, and I've got at least 50lb more to lose, but every once in a while reality hits like a Mack truck when you're on a confidence high.
  • Do you need things you can eat on the move, or can you sit for a few minutes?
  • Also: no need for GPS, and it needs to be iOS/apple compatible.
  • Those pea chip things are pretty good though. But the worst is seaweed. It's like fishy cellophane. I could barely get it to my mouth the smell was so strong. Also, can we talk about movie theatre popcorn for a second? With butter.
  • Traitor! No, poutine isn't for everyone, or for all the time. But when you're craving it (usually wee morning hours after a bit of drinking) and you get good poutine it's the best. Salty fatty crunchy saucy squeaky melty goodness.
  • I think it's fair to be upset with your friend, but don't let this ruin the friendship. Just know that what you can expect from her may be limited by her relationship with her husband - she's in a very delicate situation, so cut her some slack (within reason). A lot of people said the husband needs therapy. Clearly. But so…
  • Welcome Summer. I would say start by tracking everything you eat and drink. See where the bulk of your calories come from, and make small adjustments. The first intentional step I would suggest is beverage. Don't drink your calories. I only drink water and coffee (with milk). Soda, even diet, fruit juice, energy drinks,…
  • I'm 5'3, down about 25lbs last year, at least 65 more to go. (My current goal is 150, still overweight but safely maintainable. I'll reassess once I get there). Being little and heavy definitely has its own challenges. Especially shopping.
  • Each meal is a new start. Life happens, again and again - dust yourself off and get back on track at the next meal.
  • Hang in there. It's a difficult struggle. And a lifelong one. Everyone on here has been there. First off, they say 1-2lbs (0.5-1kg) is a healthy weight loss rate, so if you're in that range you're doing well. My goal averages to less than 1lb a week. So maybe make your goal 0.5kg instead of 1, and see how that goes. I only…
  • Not sure if I'd use clothbpads, but I am intrigued by period panties. It sort of the same thing, but just underwear, nothing additional required. Haven't bitten that bullet yet though.
  • I meal prep on Sundays, for the work week. I live alone, so I only need to cook for myself. I also rarely prep the exact # of meals. I'll make 7-8 meals, to allow for flexibility. I don't prep breakfast, but it tends to be one of 3-4 options, so I just make sure I have that stuff on hand. Lunch is generally baked chicken…
  • The only medical condition that the ketogenic diet is prescribed for is pediatric epilepsy. That being said I personally don't feel that such a restrictive diet (any restrictive diet) can be healthy. Keto, Atkins, South Beach, Paleo - I don't trust em. But I'm not a doctor or a nutritionist, so my opinion is of no value.…
  • Food is joy. I can't see it as straight sustenance, I like it too much. Particularly fatty salty food (hey there cheese). I'm eating healthy to lose weight for my health. But try to take this pizza away from. Just try. I dare you. And I recently discovered ranch (not a huge thing where I live) and I may be ruined for life.…
  • Note: I do elliptical and treadmill, but no running/jogging. I don't know why, but jogging is an alien movement to my body. Not concerned at the moment.
  • SW: 240 CW: 215 GW (2017): 175 GW: 150? Not sure yet. I hope to get to at least 199.9 by May 29, 2017.
