  • There is no guarantee I will see my new low tomorrow. With hormones and weight fluctuations from day to day I use a weight trending app daily so I don't drive myself nuts. I've also learned to me I'm more concerned with my measurements because sometime that darn scale doesn't move!
  • Oddly enough playing with my niece is why I started this journey because I physically couldn't! I am now able to ride bikes with her, teach her to play softball, Chase her around the yard a bit and well just enjoy every possible minute with her and while I'm not where I'd like to be I sure as heck can do more than I use 2!…
  • Life is meant to be lived! If you enjoy grandma's pie then by all means enjoy a slice and then log it and move on. It isn't about the 1 thing we eat it's about the bigger picture and life it's just to short!
  • I liked the hmr shakes but didn't care for the meals. It did make my life easier just whip up the shake and go. I do prefer to eat my calories now as often as possible because I need to learn how to have correct portion sizes so I can maintain when that day comes
  • It's possible your holding on to water weight from the new exercise as your muscles repair themselves.
  • When I went on vacation we were gone 10 days. Our resort had a gym so hubby and I still went and worked out 4x a week. We had a full kitchen so we always made 1 meal a day and then enjoyed lunch or dinner out. I didn't track a single meal and we did a lot of walking and swimming while gone and visited the beach. Life is…
  • 1 egg omelettes with cheddar cheese and mushrooms, bacon and almond milk
  • I enjoy a ONE bar on occasion when I'm short on time. My favorite is peanut butter pie and second runner up is blueberry cobbler
  • Exercise for health and calories in vs out for weight loss. If walking is what you enjoy definitely keep with it
  • In use a standing desk not for calories burned but for other medical issues I have it seems to help with my joint stiffness and such. I also do squats, I purchased a little bike type thing for under my desk, I walk during lunch and breaks if I can as well
  • I have PCOS as well as diabetes so I take the metformin but a year ago I was needing insulin as well. I credit MFP to helping me keep my calories in check because I was terrible at counting without. What works for me may not work for you but I have an easier time eating lower carb and looking weight. I also eat higher…
  • I don't do cheats. If I have to cheat myself then I feel I'm not doing something right and this won't work for me. I eat what I want as long as I have room for it and have met my other goals for the day.
  • I tried it. In fact I liked the ease of it and to me the taste wasn't to bad. I had lost some weight while on it in fact. Here is the problem I had with it...1. It's expensive, 2. I missed chewing my food, 3. Did I mention it's expensive lol and 4 how do I learn about portion size. I do still drink meal replacement shakes…
  • Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't lol. If my friend and I are have a friendly who drinks more competition then definitely otherwise not so much because it's 0 calories
  • My husband and I tried it and while we followed it we did really well. I bet it's been a good 10 plus years ago. We ended up gaining everything back and then some. We gave up got tired of feeling deprived and well life happened. We are both doing great now by staying within calories and not being so restrictive with what…
  • Just work it into your calories even if it means eating at maintenance
  • I enjoy celery and p butter or laughing cow cheese, boiled eggs, hummus and assorted veggies, cottage cheese, and fruit. I love meal prepping this week is chicken so I have shredded chicken for tacos, bbq'd, chicken salad and chicken and spinach roll ups
  • Sports bras I bought one I can tighten as I loose, clothing I go to thrift stores and also buy the bottoms with drawstring.
  • Be patient..i know easier said than done. Maybe take progress photos they help so you can compare then to now. We can't pick and choose where our fats falls off so to speak first but with a calorie deficit and time it does come off everywhere
  • Man oh man pizza use to be a weakness of mine! Maybe in the future you will be able to enjoy a slice with your family. Have you thought about making a healthier version? What I mean is one that would both satisfy you and stay within your calories? I'm finally at the point where I can enjoy a slice with a nice salad from…
  • Feel free to add me if you'd like. I have over 100 pounds to loose and have lost 27 so far
  • That is great you are able to ride longer and breath easier! To me those are wonderful victories. Since you don't have a scale do you take your measurements or progress pics? If not please consider it. It's easier to see how far you've come when you can look back to where you began. I don't weigh often because I'm on the…
  • It's great your able to get your run in after your husband has left for work and congratulations on your progress! It seems you work a lot of hours and hubby's schedule may not be the same. I say communication is key. You are changing a lot of yourself and perhaps he is afraid of you leaving when you reach your goal? I…
  • I do all my meal prep on one of my days off. There is a marker we use on the fridge and once we come up with an idea for the following week it is written down. Hubby and I are creatures of habit so breakfast and lunch are always the same week to week it is dinner that changes. The menu for current week is on fridge as well…
  • I have fibromyalgia as well. Lyrica and gabapentin gave me migraines and cymbalta didn't do a darn thing. I can't do foam rolling because it's too painful for me. I have found gentle yoga has helped me the most. I still have to use muscle relaxers and my tramadol but never have I taken them while working out. If I do yoga…
  • My local McDonald's charges me 1.00 for a large water in Styrofoam cup or 1.79nfor bottled. I once asked seriously even thru drive thru where you know what your giving me! The answer was well the cups aren't free it's to offset our loss of giving water
  • I occupy myself with something else. I will crochet or walk or chew gum. I basically busy myself. If I have calories left and may have a snack with protein.
  • I am a fan of meal prepping. Hubby leaves around 3:30 for work and doesn't get back home til 5pm. We prep muffin tins eggs, shredded chicken, ground beef, and clean assorted fruits and veggies as well as hard boiled eggs and keep low sodium deli meat on hand as well so he can grab and go. I work full-time as well so we…
  • You've laid everything on the line and to me it sounds like you are more than ready most Importantly for yourself and your health but also for your family! You can and will do this!! :)
  • I just follow what information MFP has given me. If I log accurately and use my food scale I see a downward trend in both my weight and measurements. I go back to eyeballing and I seem to maintain
