Be vewy vewy quiet... I'm hunting wabbits!

I'm trying to quit smoking and my hubby isn't WOW is it hard. I can only imagine how hard it is for the OP. I would suggest turning to MFP for friendly advice and support... No man/woman is an island.

Hi! You can add me. I try to be a good motivator

Triumphant!

Add them! The more the merrier :)

I had my first experience with them the other day. I made a light version of shrimp scampi and added them to the pan (after rinsing, drying and cutting them up a little) they soaked up all of the broth and garlic. I thought they tasted like ramen noodles and could have benefited from some salt, but other than that I'd try…

Hi, feel free to add me, I'm an active user, albeit relatively new (a little over a month into it). I've lost 14lbs in that time and have aprox. 118 to go. I see this as a life style and am in it for the long haul. I am really motivated and like to cheer on like minded people. Congrats on your loss!

I too, believe in healthy eating. Feeding yourself the nutrition your body needs to function and loose weight is the key to this whole thing, imho. Feel free to add me if you want a motivation partner.

I count my coffee. For example... I get a large iced coffee (32 oz) from Dunkin' Donuts, black with splenda and a little bit of ice. MFP has it as 20 cal., which sounds about right to me. I drink approx 3 a day, that's 60 calories that I can either log in and account for or not log it and not realize that I've drank 60…
-
My advice is to log everything. The good, the bad and the ugly. Weigh and measure your food and try for balanced nutrition so your actually feeding your body the nutrients it needs to function properly and help you loose weight. I'm also a huge believer in staying hydrated. Drink as much water as you can. MFP has a water…

Hi everyone... I'm 281 after having just lost 14 this past month through my efforts with MFP. I have psoriatic arthritis and yesterday was diagnosed with fibro, which explains a lot for me. Workouts are a challenge and I usually have to go in 5 min. intervals as my knees and hips are killing me but I figure that's 5 min.…

Oh, and it's 220 calories

I do a smoothie every morning. It's 1 c. frozen blueberries, 1 cup coconut water, 1 cup packed spinach, 1/2 cup ff greek yogurt, 1 T. flax meal and 1 tsp. Matcha powder. It's so nutritious and keeps me going for hours.
-
This. Maybe you should change your routine (if you have one). I have fibro and psoriatic arthritis that is currently flaring so it's more challenging to do my normal routine but I adapt. I love roller skating and to me that's not 'exercise' it's getting cardio in and it's fun to do. Maybe you need to find something you…

I asked my husband not to get me chocolate this year unless it was a bag of Hershey's Bliss dark chocolate squares. I eat one, sometimes 3, of those a night. If you're in doubt don't do it, or get her one of those small heart shaped boxes that has like 4 pieces in it and when she gets it explain to her your thoughts behind…

If you can tolerate the texture of styrofoam Wasa makes a Light and Crispy 'cracker'

I love planking. Sit-ups and crunches do nothing for me (interest wise).
-
I say Nay to a cheat day. Instead, if I want something badly enough I log it and if it doesn't fit, I don't eat it. I do pre-log and allow myself a piece of dark chocolate every night. For me, this is a life style and I don't think one day should be set aside for 'cheating'. Enjoy what you want when you want it as long as…

If you want to be motivated and send motivation in return, add me. I have about 100 lbs. to go and am committed to this.
-
Hi, feel free to add me. I do a morning inspirational quote and do my best to be encouraging throughout the day. I'm in my early 40's and try not to take myself too seriously :)
-
One step at a time. You can't run a marathon unless you first learn how to walk. I've been at this for 31 days now and have lost 14 lbs. w/o exercising. I have fibro and psoriatic arthritis that are flaring right now making it nearly impossible to exercise, but every day I keep trying. I do 5 min. at a time. If that's all…

Smartfood Delights popcorn in sea salt... 35 cal. for a cup.
-
I too, track fiber instead of sugar. Fruits and veggies are processed differently in your body than refined sugars so don't worry about how much sugar your getting from natural foods.
-
I've tried a few recipes from www.skinnyms.com with pretty good success. Smartfood makes a smartfood delight popcorn that's 35 calories per cup, and it's pretty good.

Don't they get stuck in your teeth?

Thanks for taking the time to help me out. I also googled both and I think for my first foray I'm going to try flax seeds. When these are done, I'll try out the chia. The gelatinous texture is kind of off putting to me as I have a problem with 'strange' textures. Thanks again!
-
So you have to soak the chia seeds before you add them? I'm still confused about the benefits of both. Which are better or do they do different things? Do either of them have a flavor to them or do they fade into the background?

A nurse friend of mine substitutes her ice cream with frozen greek yogurt. She gets the fruit on the bottom kind, stirs it up, puts it in the freezer for a couple of hours and says it's just like ice cream. I have yet to try it, but it sounds good. What about making a smoothie and adding protein powder in it? That's what I…
