You should be able to come on here and feel free to rant/complain/support/encourage/ask questions... That's what this is here for in the first place. Just remember that you can't please everyone. They all have opinions that may coincide with yours, or challenge your way of thinking. As long as you're open-minded and…

I made a yummy taco salad last night for dinner. I browned 97% lean ground turkey breast with a pkt of taco seasoning, put it over my romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes sliced in half, 2 T of reduced fat shredded cheddar and 3 T salsa. I added ranch dressing and crumbled bite size tortilla chips to my hubby's. Next time I…

They usually have a few types of soup, try having a cup of soup before you make your selections.

I tried this and liked it: http://skinnyms.com/sweet-potato-and-turkey-skillet-recipe/ The trick is to dice the sweet potato really small or it will be too firm (crunchy). I usually just scrub the skin under cold water, prick all over with a knife and microwave it for about 5 min, flip it over and do another 5 min. I add…

Entertaining my in-laws... Made mini-black bean brownies, and they had no idea they were healthy, the loved them and then I told them how they were made and it was so funny seeing their reactions.

I do a smoothie for breakfast which keeps me satisfied for a few hours, then I have steel cut oats for a mid morning meal. I don't know what kind of oatmeal you are using but the steel cut oats fill me up.

When you log accurately, i.e., weighing your food, etc. Don't forget to log condiments, they add sneaky calories, such as ketchup.

As someone who grew up with the 'you eat what I put in front of you or you don't leave the table' environment, I think I get where you're coming from. Here's what I do. I meal prep, I vacuum seal portion sizes, I weigh and measure my food. I put on my plate what I know I've planned for and am going to eat. I don't leave it…

I always log... I always go up by a few lbs, also, but at least I know the reason why. It's important to keep track, even if your scale says your off.

I agree with stevencloser... Try the recumbent bike at your gym - it will support your back better than a regular bike, walk on the treadmill, walk around in a pool... low impact activities is still burning calories.

I think I remember reading somewhere that for a male you should eat no less than 1500 cal per day. If my opinion matters, I would suggest upping your caloric intake, and eating back some of your exercise calories.

This. And this. Your weight will always fluctuate, also go by other measurements... How you feel, inches lost, clothes that fit differently. I have a love-hate relationship with my scale. Sometimes it shows me what I want and other times it doesn't move. Take comfort in knowing that what your doing is making you a…

That happened to me last week, I went up 2 lbs did everything right and was stumped. I stuck with my routine though, knowing that I was doing it right and ended up with a huge loss this week. Hang in there.

The thin oreos in mint are like thin mint girl scout cookies. I've also gotten Pure Protein bars in Dark Chocolate Coconut and slice them into about 16 slices, keep them in a baggie and when I want something yummy, I eat a piece, lol. Also, Snickers Crispier bars are SO good.

This. Also, if you're cravings are such that you can't keep on track, then you need to re-evaluate what you're eating and incorporate some of those things into your diet. This is a journey, not a restrictive diet. You need to learn how to go forward without feeling like you're cheating on yourself. I have a terrible sweet…

I know this might sound weird, but when I was little my great-grandma used to make us bowls of hot white rice with cinnamon, sugar and milk poured over it... Kinda like a breakfast cereal.

Food scales, accurate ones, are fairly inexpensive. If your serious about accuracy, then I would strongly recommend investing in one. http://www.amazon.com/Ozeri-Digital-Multifunction-Kitchen-Elegant/dp/B004164SRA

Sorry I don't have anything helpful to add. This is a slow time, hang in there and someone should be able to help you with advice... Bump! :)

I usually take a wrap, some light miracle whip, 3 slices of turkey - which is about 2 oz, a steamed veg and 1/4 c. cooked quinoa.

What do you eat when you get home from the gym? Do you go to the gym before or after dinner? I would suggest bringing a banana and some nut butter with you so that you can have something right after the gym. Or possibly a protein shake. My Protein makes a really good one. It doesn't have that weird after taste and mixes…

If you're looking for a quality, relatively in-expensive #1 rated (by labdoor.com) whey isolate protein powder than I highly reccommend this one, I get it in Chocolate Smooth, and I love it. It's not chalky, doesn't have that weird aftertaste, and mixes really well...…
