I'm 5'4 and 185lbs Can I join in?

The water thing bothers me a bit, my gym has the scales that measure bodyfat and a whole host of other things, they said I should to aim for at minimum of 45% body water but last time I was weighed it was 43.2
-
Weight it is then, I strictly weigh everything then I realised as a squirted mayonnaise into my tuna that I have just been guessing condiments, oops, smacked hand for me. :)
-
It's probably a good idea for me to calculate it myself, UK ingredient can be very different from the US. Thanks
-
Looks good, I may have to try this one too :) Does it give the calories?
-
Agree with you on this I use paleo or "clean" recipes, I wouldn't think just substituting your flour would be a good idea.

I've got the opposite problem at the moment got to sleep last night at about 11.30pm and had to literally drag myself out of bed this morning at 11am, I usually need about 9hours to function properly but nearly 12hours! I feel really lazy. Not sure if its got something to do with the amount of exercise I do versus the…

I use almond flour and coconut flour when I bake, muffins tend to come out a bit on the solid side and sometime a bit crumbly depending on the recipe (I'm not a great baker) but they always taste nice.

What are your stats? Are you eat your all o fyour exercise calories, MFP does tend to give over generous cal burn. Try only eating a percentage of them. Also how big is your cheat day, you could be undoing all your good work with that one day
-
I log everything I do, I even put it in my sock when I'm on my bike or doing a spinning class, (not sure if your supposed to) and garmin connect either add or subtract exercise calories on MFP. You have to make sure you have your settings correct on garmin. Even though my day is very sedentary, because I spend 3 hours a…

I exercise 6 days a week, Sundays I just used to laze around, now I've got my vivofit if I don't at least go for a walk it takes exercise calories off me and that annoys me, so I do something everyday now. lol
-
I use protein powder in my breakfast and after I work out everyday. I've lost over 40lbs and I still have about the same to loose.
-
I quit soda cold turkey too, about two years age. Oh the headaches! I'm happy just drinking water most of the time but in the winter I like unsweetened Almond milk with a teaspoon on honey in it. I don't like coffee or tea, except the occasional fruit tea
-
Two years ago all I drank was a 2 litre bottle of diet coke every day, sometime more. I signed up for a 50day eating and exercise challenge at my gym which included no caffeine or fizzy drinks. I survived on water and fruit flavoured teas. Expect headaches from caffeine withdrawal, it's worth it though, my hair and skin…

I put my vivofit into my sock when I do a bike ride, also do it for spinning classes, not sure it if the right thing to do but I don't like it when garmin connect take away some of my exercise calories.

Try to eat slowly so that your stomach has time to recognise you've eaten

I did my first super spring triathlon last August and I got my hubby to time me swimming 10 lengths of our gym's pool (20m pool). As for your learning front crawl, sorry can't help, mines terrible. I just watched everyone else and tried to copy. This year my hubby gave me a few pointer about my arm (head will never go in…

I have mine set for sedentary because if I didn't exercise my daily steps would only be a 2-3 thousand, but I have been know to reach about 18k if I'm running and doing gym classes. I just though when I entered my exercise it would take this into account.
-
I do use a food scale, so my diets not a problem as such, I just don't want to get it wrong and mess everything up. I do sometimes get tired but I love the gym I get board if I'm not there. I'm also training for Duathlon/triathlon, just on a small scale (super sprint) I've been spending 3 hours at the gym for nearly two…

My mum said to me this afternoon "I can't loose weight cos I can't exercise" then goes on to blame my dad for adding tonnes of fat when cooking. She's recently been diagnosed with diabetes (dad has diabetes too) she also had a pacemaker, it worries me how big she's getting but I don't feel I can do or say anything.
-
You can add me, I'm Michelle, 44 years old from Hartlepool in the North East, want to loose between 3 and 4 stone. I get very confused about how much (calories) I'm supposed to eat so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I spent an hour yesterday morning running up an down a set of steps at a local nature reserve. Woke up this morning, oh the pain in my calves, I found that it's just better to keep moving and maybe try a foam roller.

Reading all the comments regarding how heavy a kettlebell your should use has got me a bit worried, the heaviest I can swing is a 6kg, I mostly use a 4kg and if it involves any wrist movement then I've got to use no more that a 3kg, my wrist can't cope with the weight.
