  • I always log everything, even if I decide that I will go over that day for a special occasion.
  • about 25 mins for me. There is an Anytime Fitness closer, but I like the Gym I belong to, it has all the amenities like steam room, Sauna, Heated Pool and big hot tub.
  • I lost about 11 lbs. I'm trying to lose 40 and I'd like to take at least 6-8 months to lose it. I measure and weigh everything.
  • Isn't it Pizza Hut that does the Skinny Pizza? It's still pizza, but everything is cut back. Thin crust, half the sauce, half the cheese, and half the toppings that they would normally use. Actually, it's a different sauce too as I recall. I had a slice a few weeks back and I actually thought it was pretty good.
  • Jogging is painful for me, bothers my knees. I tend to use the Elliptical more than anything for cardio. It's a delicate balance. Push yourself enough to maximize the workout, but not so much that you hurt/discourage yourself. I use the steam room after every workout, really seems to help the muscles recover and seems to…
  • Good article I just read on CNN about Weight loss and exercising etc. Even mentions the Metabolism slowing if not eating enough calories. http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/28/health/weight-loss-exercise-plateau/index.html
  • I get like 1900, but I usually only eat around 1600 or so. But I do admit that my food choices are really boring. chicken, green beans, asparagus, chicken, a small baked potato, subway turkey every once in awhile. Fruit. Protein Whey. I've really just tried to make food something I need to sustain, not something I enjoy -…
  • I love mine. I have the Charge HR and it's great. Monitors the HR very well, except when you are really pushing it and then it seem to be off. I love how it tracks how you sleep. Being able to see your steps really motivates you to do more.
  • I truly don't know what is right or what is wrong about that article. The reason I looked it up was because I remembered that very thing being discussed by the Biggest loser trainers when one of the contestants wasn't losing enough weight based on their output. The article does reflect what they were saying on the show.
  • This is the article I had read on not getting enough calories to diet successfully. I know it's been mentioned on shows like the Biggest Loser as well when people aren't losing what they appear they should be based on their workouts and scheduled diets. http://www.coachcalorie.com/not-eating-enough-calories-to-lose-weight/…
  • Not eating enough calories can actually stunt your weight loss. I see posts all the time that people often don't reach their regular calorie goal and they never eat their extra calories burned through irregular exercise. When you first started, were you exercising at the same level you are now? When you filled out your…
  • If you went from fairly sedentary to 10K steps that is good movement. Are you eating your full calorie allotment? The Thyroid is very important in weight loss of course and if you don't eat enough calories and have thrown in exercise your thyroid can shut down weight loss by slowing your metabolism. With your…
  • I do track my workout calories just for info, but I never eat any of the extra calories I've earned, I stick to my regular goal. I just try to always eat the right thing.
  • Are you eating for comfort? If yes, I'd recommend counseling or maybe even some positivity classes. It's just food and we need it to sustain our bodies. But we don't need junk food. You CAN do it, you just need to believe in yourself. If you starting thinking you are going to fail, you've already failed.
  • I use Dymatize Elite Whey Protein, 1 scoop, 130 cal, 25 protein. I'm not positive that is what the bottle says (as far as name), but I use the scan to put it in and that's what came up. Great in helping my body process sugar too. Protein is so important in helping reduce the amount of muscle (instead of fat) lost while…
  • My wife and I are both in our 40's. She decided to start a diet and I'm right there with her. I could easily stand to lose 40 lbs. I have been going to the GYM but kinda got out of it during the holidays. We are one week down with MFP and so far so good. We decided we would try to adjust with diet first and then add the…
