  • I track any specific CV training that I do such as running or spin biking. Things such as walking to work, sit ups, press ups etc don't get added. As an earlier poster said, it's good to have those calories in reserve so you have less chance of miscalculating something and actually end up putting on weight.
  • If you look at the top athletes they place as much importance on rest as they do on their workouts. Admittedly they have different goals to you or I but if a nap is good for Olympic Champions then it is good for you. A good sleep helps muscle recovery so nap till your hearts content (as long as you do the workout first).
