I didn't really sleep much last night, but I promised myself that I would work out before I took a nap today when I got home from work. Is it bad to take a nap afterwards or should you wait a certain amount of time?

yes, you are allowed to sleep on the same day that you workout. and at whatever time you choose.0

The best naps comes from after a killer workout!0

rest is awesome.0

If you look at the top athletes they place as much importance on rest as they do on their workouts. Admittedly they have different goals to you or I but if a nap is good for Olympic Champions then it is good for you. A good sleep helps muscle recovery so nap till your hearts content (as long as you do the workout first).0

The only bad times for napping are while you're driving (or piloting a plane...) and when your boss is looking at you. Sweet dreams!0

Naps under warm blankets after you have been out in the cold walking for an hour are the best! That is what I did yesterday.0
