  • Hi HIIT is High Intensity Interval Training basically cardio. Muscle building will only come with weights (either your own body weight/resistance or actual weights). I'm no expert though! Maybe check online or your local gym? Hope this helps!

  • This is Us is another really good one.
  • Orphan Black is really good. Scandal, The Good Wife, Greys Anatomy, Madam Secretary, Designated Survivor, Power, Empire, Californication, Vinyl, Code Black, Homeland, Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Prison Break (the new series starts this week) as you can see I watch a LOT of TV hahaha
  • Hi, Have you tried the Joe Wicks recipe books? He gives loads of recipes for low carb snacks and meals? Or try googling low carb snacks? Fruit and veggies are a good shout, eggs and chicken are protein but will still fill you up. Good Luck x
  • My weekends are where it falls apart as well. Normally wine/beer and then hangover food. I have found that if i log it, (I tend not to at the weekend cos I know I have been bad) then it makes it more real? Makes me think twice about having a chipper/chinese the following weekend. xx
  • Have you taken your measurements? Reason I'm asking is that you mention you are working out every day, muscle does actually weigh more than fat, it's not a myth. CICO is by far the best policy, sounds like you are doing all the right things. Log EVERYTHING, keep doing what you are doing and enjoy these last few weeks of…

  • I'm murder when I am on my period, struggle to exercise and want to eat my body weight in chocolate! I just limit myself to one 'cheat day'. As long as you manage to get right back on it and not let your 'cheat day' lead to a 'cheat week'!

  • Protein Shakes are good, go for a Diet Whey though or you could potentially increase your calories
  • Hi, best bet would be to speak to an instructor at the gym? We have a health programme available at my gym, check and see if there is anything at yours? Good Luck!
  • I am laughing at 5'2.5", I am 5'2.3/4 and a smidge lol. Not quite 5'3 but I would never say I was 5'2". I go with 1200 a day as per MFP as a base line, I try not to use all my calories from exercise if I can help it. I 'used to weigh' between 112/118lbs. Now I am about 121/124, real struggle to get anywhere near 112 (those…
  • Well Done you first of all! Most important thing to do after running is to STRETCH.....and not just your legs, your shoulders as well. Good running shoes are also a must. Tiger Balm patches/Epsom Salt Baths/Massage are all good for muscular 'aches'. Keep it up!
  • I have used Map My Walk/Run in the past and I agree I think the calories burned is overestimated. I use a Myzone belt when I go to classes (it's basically a heart rate monitor) but I find that it really overestimates calories burned also. I normally knock 100 cals off the amount it says and try not to 'eat' all of the…
  • Hi I'm from Aberdeen, no idea how to add people lol but feel free to add me!
  • Well Done you! I guess I will just have to keep going, i'm not the best at keeping track over the weekend and this is most likely my downfall.......:(
  • I find I eat most of my carbs during the day whilst at work (boredom most likely) but I was concerned that this was preventing my weight loss. Finding it really frustrating that my weight seems to have plateaued recently and thought it might be down to the wrong type of carbs. Thanks for your comments :)
  • I exercise every day and I would say I eat quite healthily but I find when I rely on exercise alone and don't use the MFP, the weight creeps back on, so I reckon that it is definitely more important to get your diet in check first, Good Luck!
  • Hi I have used MFP for a couple of years just as a tracker, I have always been able to eat what I want as I do a lot of exercise. I was recently on medication which basically wrecked my metabolism that and the fact that i am now 46 has meant that i am really struggling to lose weight (despite exercising 5 times a week,…
