I wash my hair twice a week with shampoo, tie it up on other workout days. My hairdresser advised that I could condition it every day if need be, but to only use shampoo once/twice a week.

Me too! I can barely lift them never mind make them 'ripple' :):)

This made me LOL......don't get me started on pronunciation, grammar and oh spelling....

'Bugger' when used in the UK, (I say UK because I am from Scotland, not England), is quite commonly used. It's not classed as being 'extremely derogatory', far from it! In fact you tend to find that 'posh' people use the word bugger more often. Oh and by the way, we don't drive on the 'wrong' side of the road, we drive on…

Kale, Quinoa (can't even pronounce it never mind eat it), cottage cheese (looks like spew), chia seeds, coconut water. It's strange how we all seem to hate the same health foods lol x

You must be Scottish?
-
Are you lifting weights though as opposed to cardio?
-
I use Strava x
-
No, I only run 10K on a Tuesday (I'm in a running club) x
-
Thank you for that I will go and change it to 0.5lbs. I appreciate your help. x

My work outs are consistent week to week as I do the same classes every week. Some days my HRM is showing over 1000 calories burned (I run a 10K on a Tuesday + a class in the morning).

I'm 5ft 3" and small frame!
-
Would that give me more that 1200 per day?
-
I'm 5ft 2.3/4" Not quite 5ft 3 lol, I am currently 127lbs (which I feel is too heavy) and want to get back to 114lbs.

I'm down for 1.5lbs a week, I would like to lose about 10lbs. I try to stay away from weighing myself generally and go by measurements and I have always used MFP as a guide, but recently I have been eating far too much rubbish and really just wanted to rein myself in and decided to use MFP properly and I have really…

I live in Scotland and pay about £300 a month for gas and electric, same amount every month cos it never really gets 'hot' in Scotland :)

I am now totally confused......TDEE? I will google it! I use a Myzone HRM which is where I get my 'calories burned' from, I do various types of exercise through the week, running, Spin, Body Attack, CX Works, Weights. I average 600 (I generally do 2 hours exercise, 5 days a week, 1 hour am and 1 hour pm), I realise that…

Thanks guys, I was panicking there as I often still feel hungry on 1200 (weirdly more hungry on the non exercise days). Really appreciate your comments x

Mines has never gone away either :(

I must admit I am bad for hitting snooze! My alarm is set for 5.30am and I generally don't get up till 5.45! My motivation is that I know I will feel ace after the class/workout and go into my work happy :) I set out all my kit the night before, pack my bag etc so I know its a case of getting dressed, brushing my teeth and…

Hi I use an armband when running also use wireless headphones. Best to get decent trainers (sneakers) for running, check in your local sports shop for advice? C25K is meant to be really good for beginners, stick with it! Good Luck x

The scales are dicks, honestly! So many variables when it comes to weight. Water retention/high sodium/TOM etc. Weigh yourself (if you must) once a week, first thing in the morning after you have been for a wee, in the same place. You have done brilliant losing the 4lbs, don't beat yourself up over those numbers.
-
Hi Are you on the same terrain both times? Hill climbs etc will cause your HR to raise as much and some times more than a sprint?
-
That actually made me laugh out loud! Love this thread!

Hey, First of all Well Done on the weight loss! 1lb or 10lb it's still a LOSS.... I agree with most of the other posts, the weight didn't appear overnight so don't expect it to disappear overnight either. I am not a big fan of weighing my food but it does help with accuracy especially when it's pasta/rice etc. I have a HRM…
