Back atter this coming Tuesday. The pool has reopened and I tried to go Thursday but ffs, could not find my goggles anywhere!! I know I put them someplace "safe" where I woudn't loose them. lmfao. So, off to buy new ones tomorrow. I'm a little scared getting back in, I'm sure I've lost all my conditioning, especially…

I'm pretty sure everything I've read says to add at least 500cal for breastfeeding. But, your baby is 16 months, so I assume you're not exclusively breastfeeding anymore? 200cal MIGHT be fine if you only breastfeed once or twice a day, something to ask your Dr. 1000cal a day cut is quite a lot, I'd be concerned you're not…

In the app it's in the progress tab. The first measurement that will pop up is weight. Touch the "weight" at the top of the screen under the word progress and the options are there to record measurements. I had to add the measurements I wanted on the website then I can use them on the app as well.

Thanks for the great advice! I'll start thinking about what I want to get out of our sessions and make a list. Form and a lifting program are for sure at the top!

I just broke my big toe 2 weeks ago (I slipped on the stairs too!), couple that with a lung and sinus infection. My toe is obviously not as serious as a broken foot but I'm not allowed to exercise until my doctor clears my toe and lungs. Can't see her until Oct 21, ffs. I am going to start swimming again next week as I…

I went through it twice and it didn't cause me to gain weight. You may be experiencing water retention from all the hormones. And bloating is normal. Before egg retrieval I could only wear yoga pants. But that's all temporary, it's not "real" weight gain. Don't worry about your weight right now. You've got enough going on…

This is a favourite in my house. Pour salsa over chicken and bake. When it's cooked put slices of light mozzarella cheese on top until melted. Delish!

Weight loss is all about diet. Exercise is for health. Sure, you get to eat more calories when you exercise, but for weight loss it's not needed at all. I've lost weight without exercise in the past with WW. Her Calories in < Calories out. That simple. Not easy, simple.
-
@JaneiR36 So are you done swimming for now? I've been off since the pool is closed for 6-8 weeks for upgrades. I can't wait until October to get back at it! I'm scared though, lol. I bet I'll have lost all my conditioning.
-
I do both. If there is a party or outing I know I'll be going to I plan for the extra calories I will no doubt eat that day because of lack of food choice. If it's just a normal week, I tend to have a little treat each day to keep my sweet tooth at bay.
-
Having done both I much prefer MFP. I find this is much more sustainable, and FREE! WW is more of a 'diet' than a lifestyle choice imo. Yes, it worked for me, in the short term. But, I find MFP to be freeing, I feel much more in control of my body counting calories rather than worrying if WW deems the food I'm eating to be…

By him rushing me to the hospital because I fell on my head trying to pole dance.

I eat a bowl of fruit with greek yogurt or creamy cottage cheese, almonds and ground flax every morning.

I walk to work and I don't count it as actual exercise. It's just part of my day. I have my activity level set to lightly active because of walking to work and working on my feet for 8 hours. If I 'go' for a walk, then I count it, because it's purposeful exercise.

My Dad had a huge rib cage. He was the definition of barrel chested. Even when he was dying, and had lost a huge amount of weight, his rib cage made him look large under the sheet. Do I have it too? Dunno, I'll find out in another 90lbs, lol. But yeah, it exists. For the most part though, it's likely an excuse people tell…

I retain about .5-1.5 lbs of water weight during ovulation and then about 2 days before my period starts I retain about 2lbs of water weight. For me, it usually lasts around 3 days. When I'm ovulating I am Hangry. Like beyond belief, I'm sure that adds to it. I find as long as I truck along like normal, staying within my…

That's offensive. OP - Chances are most people at the pool were there to swim laps? I would never swim laps in a bikini (okay, I'd never wear a bikini, but that's beside the point). I wouldn't worry about it, to each their own. Wear what you're comfortable in.

I struggled at a 2lb deficit as well. I dropped my calorie goal to 1.5lbs and it made all the difference in the world! It gives me the freedom to eat a little more and I'm consistently loosing. Do you exercise? While not necessary for weight loss, those extra bit of calories from cardio does give a bit of extra room to eat…

I didn't go swimming today. My body has been indicating to me for a couple weeks that I'm overdoing the exercising. I've decided to take a week off then change my routine to include 1 full day off and 1 day with only stretching and walking. So, I stayed home tonight... sighs

This is going to sound silly. But for the last week I'm obsessed with the back of my hands. While I'm typing I can see the bones moving under my skin. I just keep staring at them in amazement.
-
This. I've lost almost 30lbs (so damn close). And I look the same. I know I'm smaller as I've dropped a pant size and I take measurements, but I look like I did 30lbs ago. Hang in there. It will happen.
-
Sure. It's not the healthiest way to live, but you will loose with a calorie deficit. I eat "crappy" food when I'm craving it. If I don't, I'll end up binging at some point, that's worse for me.

@SingingSingleTracker I measure cardiovascular fitness by how I feel. I no longer have to stop at the top of every hill and die before continuing to ride, I can swim 4 lengths without stopping to catch my breath instead of 1. lol I don't have a heart rate monitor yet, but do plan on getting one at some point. I have A LOT…

Okay. Recovery? I know I don't eat enough protein, and I'm working on that. I find it difficult, so it's a process and learning curve for me. I'm getting there though. I rest one day a week. I stretch after every workout. Anything I'm missing? What's the hype surrounding foam rolling? I always assumed that was for…

I haven't gotten one yet. I'm still unsure if it's necessary. Part of me wants to jump on the bandwagon and the other part of me says it's a waste of money. lol

I bike, swim and do body strength training. I enjoy it
-
I like that guy!! I enjoy breaststroke, I like going under the water, it's fun! I'm nowhere near good at it, but I often do it at the end of my swim to relax. I don't even care that I look like a fool while doing it. lol You don't really have to push your arms out that forcefully if you're just swimming to relax. I'm going…

That's one of the main reasons I swim. It's just so damn stress relieving. Sorry to hear about work. We just had a major sorta lay off in May (it's complicated). It was devastating for everyone. I'm the chief union steward, so stress levels were super high. Swimming kept me sane. I don't think I could do a nose plug. Too…

Getting on a plane at the end of September for the first time. I'd really like to fit comfortably in the seat!!

My whole life. I'm 37. I haven't been a healthy weight since I was a baby. There were some unique circumstances when I was a child, and my mom is a feeder. Food solves all problems!!! I am now aiming to be a healthy weight for the first time in my life.
