  • No, I don’t use gloves. I do use liquid chalk tho...which is great for my grip when my deads get close to the max weight I can pull.
  • Ha thanks for the virtual pat on the back lol! I agree, i can appreciate the fact that my body has birthed 4 healthy full term babes, but my mind plays tricks on me too. Some days are better than others. I’ll get back to where I was, it always takes me 12-14 months. I did however, notice that my shoulders were looking…
  • Holy smokes girl!!!! Fantastic!
  • Love skinny pop. 28 grams (a lot!) is 150 cals. I eat it almost daily.

  • When I’m super hungry from lifting (doesn’t always happen) I up my protein and fiber for the day. I also drink a lot of water, I find it helps curb my hunger and I think a lot of times I am actually thirsty and not hungry.
  • Bench and deadlifts Spinning for cardio.
  • I appreciate this thread today. I’m struggling big time with body image after recently having my 4th baby in 7 years. I’m trying hard to appreciate my body for its strength, but am so discouraged when I look in the mirror. I’ve gained and lost the same 50 lbs 3 times and I have to do it again after this last baby. Will…
  • Bought a bottle of “diet” raspberry lemonade. A large, for the family, sized bottle. Drank entire bottle in one day cuz it was so so Delicious and only 50/100 cals or something for entire thing. Hubby pointed out later that night (after I raved about how good the lemonade was) that is was not diet at all. Full cals, full…
  • Multiple people telling me I squat wrong cuz I low bar squat. Ugh... Older lady (whom I’ve never talked to ever) literally touching my arms and hands as I did lat pull down to tell me I need to pull the bar all the way down to my thighs, and if I can’t, it’s too heavy (have never seen her correct a mans form ever!) Older…
  • 1-1.5 hours 4-5 days a week. Most of that is lifting with 15-20 min of cardio here and there when I can.
  • I have 4 kids 7,5,2, and 3 months. It’s a balance but I get up at 530 and hit the gym 2-3 weekdays before Hubby leaves for work. He goes 2 nights a week after dinner, homework, showers, baths etc. We both try and get one weekend day in. Life with little kids is nuts. It’s day by day. My gym time is a huge priority to me…
  • I’m an avid coffee drinker and have been for years. It has never affected my weight loss efforts in a negative way. As others have posted, if anything it helps suppress my appetite. But, i do have fibrocystic breasts, and caffeine in general 100% affects this condition. It causes my breasts to ache if I consume too much.…
  • So excited about this! Been on here for years, using a food scale, and never noticed this option...awesome!!! To the OP, I use grams and ounces when I weigh/log. Usually I really focus on grams for shredded cheese, cottage cheese, ground beef, chicken. I don’t know why I choose some food over others for grams versus ounces…
  • Don’t believe everything you think. [/quote] Wonderful post! This last line was exactly what I needed today. I’m struggling with negative thoughts about my postpartum body and I love the above advice. THANK YOU!!!!
  • My goal is not to eat after dinner as I generally don’t have calories left. I chew sugar free gum most nights and that helps me. Sometimes I’ll have 4 sugar free popsicles, which is only 60 calories.
  • Fit crunch bars by chef Robert Irvine. Honestly taste like a candy bar to me!
  • I drink a ton of coffee (newborn in the house) 1-2 Diet pops And about 90 oz of water a day.
  • For my 545am week day workout I pop a caffeine pill. On weekends, workouts between 8 and 10 am I’ll have a protein shake or banana if I’m feeling hungry before I go (for straight cardio workouts I can’t eat anything or I get cramps) Once I eat, I’m hungry allll day. I like to put that off if I can! Experiment with what…
  • Just getting back into the swing of things after having a baby 4 weeks ago. Goal is 3 lifting sessions per week followed by short cardio. And 1 full cardio session. Hope to get back to 6-7 days in next few months once he’s actually sleeping 😴
  • I’m so sorry for your loss. That’s heartbreaking. Weight ALL your food on a food scale, be consistent, and try not to be too hard on yourself ❤️ with proper calorie counting and time, the weight will come off.

  • I totally understand wanting to get right to losing the pregnancy weight. I’m 3 weeks postpartum and have lost 10lbs after having an 8 lb baby 🤦🏼‍♀️ He is my fourth, so I know my body takes time to regulate hormones, flush water weight, and just heal. I’m not sure if your breast or bottle feeding, but try and give your…
  • I didn’t particularly like it. I gave it about a month. Only seemed to progress through the joker sets. Wasn’t for me. Good luck tho!
  • I suffered from severe post partum anxiety a few years ago. I wouldn’t let people come see the baby, I only left the house to workout and grocery shop, and I hardly slept (even when the kids were). For me, working out was my outlet. And once my hormones settled, my anxiety lessened. A huge factor for me was talking. I had…
  • I lifted most of this pregnancy (and the previous 3). I did drop the weight on squats and stopped flat benching around 16 weeks. I deadlifted, back squatted, incline bench pressed, and over head pressed (along with accessory work) until about 35 weeks. My body was just over it by then. Just listen to your body, talk to…
  • You are a rockstar! Amazing job. You look beautiful!!!!!!!!
  • 530 workouts for me. So I take a 200 mg caffeine pill as soon as I’m up around 5 and I’m wide awake by the time the gym opens ;) If I need something I’ll eat a half a banana too, but not always. And always have to have my music when working out!
  • I always have a headband on at the gym. Thick fabric ones for spinning and intense cardio, and the thinner rubber band ones for lifting. My hair is long and curly so even with a double pony tail holder and bun, I need to keep my hair and sweat off myface. Honestly, who cares if no one else has one on?! That’s kind of a…
  • Quads and hammies for me! Been outta the gym a few weeks and probably won’t be back until March (baby due soon) and I’m NOT looking forward to those DOMS 🤪
  • Adding to the always sound advice of accurate calorie counting and lifting weights...take pictures. I had my third 2 years ago and am about to have my fourth. The journey after #3 was long and slow to pre baby weight and if I hadn’t taken pictures, I would have sworn my “pooch” didn’t budge. If fact, my tummy had slimmed…
  • You look great! I have that too (although I’m 9 months preggo so it’s currently hiding haha) Less stomach fat helps mine, but you have a very nice flat tummy, so I’d say learn to love it! Genetics 🤷‍♀️
