Loving & understanding nature.... looks too matter but they come in second for me.

Am a meat/chicken/fish (some veggies) eater. :-) But, lately meats (mainly processed) are associated with some types of cancers, but again it depends whom you ask. For me, I usually eat meats in less (2-3 times/week) moderation, chicken is my main source for proteins and I do eat canned tuna, shrimps 2-3 times a week.…

After gaining over 60 pounds in past few years, plus after a serious foot injury, I find myself not able to run as I did before. I too used to get pains & aches in my legs. So, spoke to my doctor who recommended to drop a few pounds before trying again. Seems running with all that additional weight can damage your joints…

I took a lot of different protein powders in past, but most of them didn't make any difference or didn't like taste. Starting this year, I have been using "Muscle Pharm Combat Protein Powder (Cookies & Cream)". I take around 1.5 scoops (about 210 cals) in evenings an hour before I go to gym. I am seeing a good change in my…

Not trying to scare you, but same happened with me.. twice!! After which I gained all the weight I had lost and few more pounds. Try to 'front-load' your calories, i.e. eat a larger breakfast and taper off your calorie intake by dinner. Also, try to eat some protein dense snacks between main meals to curb off hunger pangs.…

"To Err Is Human." - the saying goes. I do have a couple of 'cheat meals' a week, but I don't go overboard by eating everything in sight. So, I eat sugary/carbs heavy foods... as I don't eat them during my normal days. Yes, it does increase the number on my scale after a cheat meal, but it sure helps me 'reset' my resolve…

Happens to most of us.. hang in there. I lost a lot in first three weeks, but now have been gaining/loosing every day. All the best.

Not really. Me, being originally from India, food is the "center" of every meetings, parties & gatherings. Plus its always the wrong foods (aka.. oily, fatty, carb-loaded...etc.). So, now I eat less and make it a point to choose healthier options. Plus, most of my friends know about my weight-loss goal, they have been…

Every morning... but I gauge my weight-loss progress on weekly basis on Mondays. So, I know if I went overboard over weekend & hence can use the following week to eat sensibly.

Skipping bfasts was what got me to gain pounds in past. It's mainly because I ended up snacking wrong foods through out the day. Now, I have around 20-25% of my daily calories at breakfast, consisting of mainly proteins, tea/coffee and some fruits. This way I don't feel the hunger pangs like I did when I skipped…

Hello mindy2218, Do not worry about losing weight... be cheerful. Remember one "Golden Rule" of weight-reduction... 'quick fixes' don't work. It takes years to put on weight, it sure will take similar time to get it off too. I too did the same in past & lost tons (no pun intended) of pounds only to gain them all back....…

Hi, It used to happen with me & I am not even taking any meds ;-). Then I started to eat atleast 5 times a day. Out of those, my three main (breakfast, lunch, dinner) meals I load my plate with a lot of lean proteins. Not sure if you eat any breakfast, skipping it is a big 'pitfall' for weight management. Have a good…
