Never have I ever read Fifty Shades of Grey.

That's made me feel all weird inside, like I want to scratch myself and do a bit of sick. That's wrong.... and yet I'm looking at it again. Thanks for putting that image in my mind. Crikey me.

Hi, i'm in Derbyshire. Been on here for 19 weeks or thereabouts and I've managed to lose 1st 9lbs so far. I'm playing the long game, steady loss so I'm gonna be here for a while. I've got 1st 1lb to go to get to the top end of my goal weight range. Once the weight's off there's maintenance to deal with which I hear is just…

Hi, I'm in Derbyshire. Been on mfp for 19 weeks and so far I've lost 1st 9lbs. Got another 1st 1lb to go to get to the top end of my goal weight range. It's been a slow process so I'm here for the longhaul, once the weight's gone there's toning & maintenance to contend with! I love seeing everybody's different journeys on…

Hey Lisa! Just had an old tatt on my wrist updated. It's a lotus flower, I've had some filigree added with my daughter's name & some daisies she's obsessed with them! She looks at my wrist now & sings "daisy daisy" too cute! <3 I've got a couple of doves on my leg that need some attention hoping to get them sorted within…

Hey, I've been on mfp since Jan and I've managed to lose 19lb so far. I need to start thinking about a low carb diet but I know i'm really going to find it difficult to cut out bread and potatoes and find some sort of alternative. I'm vegetarian and carbs make up the bulk of my meals. Ideas and support from people finding…

Hey Aly, I absolutely agree with you, emotional well-being is so important. I've been on mfp since January and the positivity of the people I've met on here is definitely helping to keep me motivated & focussed. Trying to improve my physical health is actually providing a much needed & welcome distraction from the demons…

Hey hun, I'm in the East Mids :)
-
Definitely very active. I try to do a lot of walking, 9.3 miles for me was 23,000 steps or thereabouts. I couldn't imagine doing that on a daily basis!!
-
... i do sometimes use diet shakes/smoothies and they do boost my protein intake :)
-
I always struggle to hit my protein goal. I'm the same, usually I haven't got the calories left in my day to balance it all out. I'm just a carb lover I think. I try to incorporate cottage cheese, nuts and eggs into my meals. Sometimes I think that this dieting malarkey would be easier if I could just chew on a big old…

I get water retention really bad. It starts a few days before & it takes a few days after to get back to normal. I don't weigh myself during that time, it just upsets me :(
-
I've been on mfp for 92 days and I've lost 18lb. My calorie intake is 1370 a day and my main exercise is walking. I'd say its healthy, most days I eat my exercise calories back and I still include stuff like chocolate, pasta and takeaways in my diet as long as it fits into my allowance. Do what's right for you :)

Hey Lisa! <3 Nice to see this thread still going strong :) I've had another sift through my friends list, quite a few not active so room for some new mfp's. I'm Elaine, I'm in the East Mids, lost 1st 4lb so far but got at least another 20lb to go.
-
Hi folks, I'm in the East Midlands. I've got an open diary & I log daily. Add me if you like! :)
-
I'm about 3 months into this and I've lost 18lb so far. It's been tough but I'm pleased with my progress even if its happening gradually :)
-
Calorie counting is the only way that I can steadily lose weight & keep it off. I struggle with portion control so if I stopped weighing & logging I would definitely be overweight and remain overweight. If I'm honest I find it a ball ache at times but in the grand scheme of things its not that much of an effort especially…

Mozzarella salad. Keeping it simple, with juicy vine tomatoes & fresh basil. Gorgeous. And ice cold lager <3

Incredible loss hun, I'm glad I'm following your journey :)

Hi, I'm 37, been on here for 85 days I've managed to lose 17lb I've got at least another 21 to go :)
-
UK too, I've lost 1st 3lb & I've got at least another stone & a half to go, 2st would be lovely ☺
-
Hey Anna, I'm browsing the forums for inspiration and look who I come across!! Your transformation over such a short space of time is amazing, hope you don't go leaving mfp anytime soon cos I'm in this for the longhaul and hope to share the journey with you. Much love ;)

I don't think its severe enough to be anything medical but its enough to annoy me. I've been told about a few foods with diuretic properties (oats, ginger, brussel sprouts) these are things that I can work into my diet. Even though I don't add extra, I'm sure salt must be lurking in some of the stuff I'm eating.

Me too! My mental age does not match my actual age lol, I sometimes forget how old I am and only come to a 'slap in the face' realisation when I look in the mirror :o

37... I've lost 14lb so far, got another 21-28lb to go :)
