Yes you can. Once you hit add food to diary at the top Rt. Corner there is a little bar code symbol. Press this and a bar code scanner will appear on your screen, hold this over your foods barcode.

Awesome. I had a client who went from IDDM (insulin dependent) type 2 who was morbidly obese, he has to have surgery for an unrelated condition which made him lose half his body weight. Afterwards he only had to monitor his BG weekly and required NO meds, no insulin, only diet control. I bet you feel a lot better! It's…

I regret one too when I tore my pec muscles at the gym and ended up with chronic costochondritis. That was 13 years ago and still get achy

Hi. A friend of mine suffers with fibromyalgia. I suggested cryotherapy. She tried it and says it really helps. She goes every week now. It's supposed to reduce inflammation.

I believe people have very different degrees of depression from mild to suicidal. In my line of work and from personal experience I've seen it all. I also think that some things work for some but not others(and for some poor souls nothing works not even meds). And you have to find out what works best for you. Personally I…

When I'm in a depression my dog is my lifesaver. I have great family but it's the connection with my dog that really helps, he doesn't judge me. I cherish him so. I find it impossible to be around other people during this time, some people still believe you can talk yourself out of it! Someone said to me the other day,…

Recently, for a few months now I wasn't feeling well and my weight was creeping up, although I have always been the same weight for most of my life. I went to get my TSH done and sure enough it was high, at 6. The only way I can keep my weight in check now is to make sure I'm on the right dose of synthroid. I don't know…

Do you use the chest strap on its own with a phone app? Mostly what I'm looking for is accuracy! Something that gives me an accurate reading of my exercise calories burned. I hiked the other day with my runtastic app on my phone, I hiked up and down the escarpment for 60 min. 5 km. My HR was prob. 160 or more going up the…

Thanks, I was leaning towards the fit bit charge or blaze with HRM but also read some reviews about the HRM not working too well with vigorous activity....then I looked at the windows wellograph and found there was only one app that worked with it and it's not compatible with MFP. So now I'm looking at Garmin again. OR If…

I've tried many of the MFP recipes they post on their blog and they have all been great! If you have a slow cooker they have an awesome super easy quinoa and egg casserole.

Hi, I was looking at Garmin forerunner 25 and vivofit 2(more within my budget). Do you know anything about them? The vivofit looks pretty basic...thx.

I hike the trail along the Niagara escarpment with lots of elevation and hills so would the GPS be best for my use? I can burn twice the calories going up the hill by my house than the flat road. Do Fitness trackers without GPS only track steps and distance but not elevation ? Thanks☺

Thanks for your help, I have heard that the fit bit is one of the best out there. Does it track by GPS? Do I need to have it connected to my phone or can I use it with just my tablet?

I was just talking to my 40-something friends about this, we all have knees that crack, pop. My knee has been doing it for about a year. It doesn't hurt so I just keep doing my normal routine, hike, yoga and occasional spin class. The other day though my knees were aching when I went on a trek through the snow so I backed…
