The fact that you maintained for 9 years is incredible. Do you think it was the stress of pandemic that got the scale moving in the wrong direction? I'm terrified of gaining back and I realize how easily it could happen now that I don't seem to have much restriction. I hope you find a plan that works.

Today is my 1012th day in a row logging which I beleive is 90% of my maintnance succcess. Wishing you all the best on your weight loss and maintnance…

I consider myself a food addict. When I was 110 pounds heavier, it ruled my life. I felt like a failure on a daily basis for not being able to moderate. Very exhausting -which led me to having weight loss surgery (gastric sleeve). Nothing is off limits, I just can't eat mass quantities of anything anymore. I've been…

Hello, Just giving an update. I'm happy to report that since my initial post almost three months ago, I have not gained an ounce. I'm a little active (mostly walking, and tennis once a week), I make decent food choices (but still have chocolate every day and alcohol on weekends), and log everything that goes in my mouth.…

Thanks for the responses. Definitely some good tips. I especially like "I eat as much veggies with a meal until full. The bulk and fiber fills my extra sleeve space and keeps my calories low".

I cannot imagine being able to maintain without tracking. If I forget a bite of this or that, no big deal, but I attribute my tracing of 95% of what goes into my mouth to my success. Been maintaining 110 pound loss for about 9 months. Lucky for me I can eat about 2000 calories a day :)

Wow! I'm so sorry you have been going through this. It may be a long shot, but look into the Obesity Control Center in TJ, MX. I know the sound of that scares some people, but Dr. Ortiz is a well known physician in the bariatric field. You would not be able to use insurance, but the out of pocket cost would be much less…

Built Bars!! They taste like a candy bar, but because they are low carb (I think 4 net), they do not spike insulin causing further cravings. Only 110 calories and a whole bunch of protein. They are pricey, and can only be ordered through their own site, but to me, totally worth the $. Lots of flavors to choose from -I like…

Are you on blood pressure meds? If so, they may need to be adjusted since rapid weight loss decreases blood pressure naturally... Just keep sipping! Its hard, but you can do it and it definitely gets easier.

I do a modified version. Each day I eat two ideal protein packets, and have two low carb meals. This has been a really good method for me. I lost lots of weight on ideal protein in the past and gained it all back. I find the traditional method to be waaaayyy too low in calories and not easy to convert to a lifestyle…

Feeling good. Week 1 weigh in = -4.4 9/19 215.2 9/26 210.8 I basically ate whatever I wanted this week. Not having restrictions definitely helped me get through :)

Colorado at this time of year can be tricky. My sister used to live in Boulder, and I noticed that during fall visits, I could wake up with snow on the ground, but that by afternoon is could be 75 degrees. Plan for both warm and cold :)

Thanks Everyone! I will report my first weeks weigh in tomorrow.

I made it through the weekend! That's all

I am putting this in writing to make it official. MY WINDOW IS CLOSED. I successfully made it through dinner, drinks, and desserts, all within three hours. Since I will be drinking water for the test of the night, I should sleep well and feel great in the morning. Tomorrow, Shepards pie! Goodnight fellow OMADERS.
-
Today marks day 4 for me, but now that the weekend is approaching, I need to be more diligent than ever. So far , my OMADs have been within a healthy calorie range, slowly decreasing throughout the week. I have tonight's dinner cooking in my crockpot while we speak (creamy potatoes and turkey sausage -yum!). Tomorrow night…

Thanks Brendalea69. Day two and going strong :)

Thanks tlblanksfit and blambo61. I appreciate the advice. I think what makes the weekdays easier for me is that I plan more. I am going to try and be a better planner on weekends. And like you said tlblanksfit, I am making the choice to do this- so why not follow through.

Jvcinv, I seem to do well during the week, and then when the weekend comes around I return to grazing all day. I need more self discipline!

Thanks so much! I will start a new one with a better title :)
