I love this thread! I would love to get a custom dress from eshakti. I had one made for a summer wedding and it was cool to have something beautiful that fits perfectly.

Incredible job you've done, congratulations! And I agree, it's all about the life you want.

Get it girl! You are incredible!

I'll be 42 in July and I just crossed over the 50lb mark, it has taken 10 months and I'm looking to lose 10-20 more. My experience so far is that it's mostly about food. I do exercise several times a week, but if my food is not in check exercise will not do that much for me. Because I know it's about calories in, calories…

You chose to be INCREDIBLE! Way to go!

Way to go, Lisa! Proud of you for doing the physical and mental/emotional health work it takes to make such beautiful, healthy changes. For many of us, eating is tied to deep emotional stuff and seeking therapy is such a good idea! I started in January  Congrats on taking such good care of yourself and your stellar…

I hit Onderland this week! Yay! It took me just about 4 months. Next mini goals: Mini goal 3: 195 Mini goal 4: Add 3 sets of 10 squats that break parallel to my strength routine.

Way to go, and good job for going to therapy. It can be a tough step, but it's such a gift to give yourself. You are a courageous person and I'm rooting for you!

Yaaaay! Today I ran for 30 mins straight! I've been working up to it using walk/run intervals, and today I just went for it - at the slow pace of 5.2mph with one-minute intervals up to 6.0 - counted! I'm going to work on keeping this up weekly while I continue to work on goal 2a - only 6lbs away now!

Woo hoo! I met my first mini goal, next stop under 200. I have been seeing things pop up in my facebook feed about my year of distance running in 2011 (half marathon was my longest). Lately I've been doing a run/walk combo for a total of 30 mins, gradually extending my running intervals. These lead to my next mini-goals:…

@heybales - can you provide a link for a downloadable worksheet like the one you referenced? I would like to use that to get closer to my actual TDEE, it looks really helpful. "While it's true you can wait some time and see how the calorie level you are eating is causing in weight change - for women it takes more than a…

I started using Happy Scale daily about ten days ago. It was really fun at first, then I noticed I have a habit of days long plateaus. As I'm just starting to weigh daily, it definitely is a mind game. I feel like I've been stalled forever, but then have to come back to reality and know that a week ago I dropped a…

I sautee mushrooms, zucchini, tomatoes, spinach and cheese. I eat it with toast, and sometimes on top of a Morningstar Farms Grillers Prime burger for 17 extra grams of protein. Breakfast is my favorite meal! And sometimes my biggest of the day

I did WW years ago, a couple of times, with success. Not sure what they're using now, but this was back in the days of the original points system. For me, the logging was the most fun, like a puzzle, and that's what I love about MFP as well. I also like the macro tracking here, and these forums are great, seeing all the…

I haven't added anyone yet and would love to get connected. I lost about 20lbs in about 3 months on MFP last year and gained it all back. At that time I used the standard recommendation for 2lbs/week, eating at 1200 cals. Very little exercise - mainly walking to and from the bus stops. This time around I'm calculating my…

@jelleigh My first goal is in the 170s as well. I have been looking at Stronglifts 5x5 for a while, still a little to scared to try it, though I am thinking of starting a 30 day beginners squat challenge. For some reason, this seems like a step on the path to heavy lifting because I watch some of the videos and I don't…

Mini goal: get under 210! SW: 226 CW: 214 First GW: 178 (In past weight loss, something magical happens around this weight and I start to feel thin.)

Sorry, I had read things on the message boards that made me think my question was a little more straightforward than it was. I'm referring to the information in the following thread and have used the calculators referenced in this post:…

I'm not using the MFP automatic calculations this time around. I'm calculating my specific recommendations based on TDEE calculators, which factor in your weekly activity level in your recommended calories.
