  • I've been just using it to tell me when to stop and start while I'm on the thread mill, don't actually have it on me and just paid for the full 8-week training session...I'm only at week 2 day 2 now, so far so good though I got to say.

  • yeah I think the answers you gave me above are what my husband is experiencing, I'm just trying to understand he's desire/passion for it, I guess addiction is the wrong word to use but that seems to be what it's like. I'm hoping the C25K will the real experience of it and see how it goes. He's first "addiction" or…
  • Got a question regarding this app, C25K, I've been using it for a week about to head into week 2; day 2 and it wants me to pay for the upgrade which is fine it's only 6.99, but is there one for C210K app, what happens when the 8 weeks is up and you want to carry on with the C25K app? Any suggestions if I should stick with…
  • I will be going into maintenance mode very soon and plan on logging as I do now, I think it's the only way I'm going to be accountable and keep this weight off for a lifetime, it's become a habit anyway so I don't know if it's going to be too big of a deal to continue logging, plus that "streak" quota that MFP provides I…
  • I sometimes use Premiere chocolate or vanilla protein shakes if I'm in a hurry or need to grab and go kind of thing especially for breakfast but it's only if I'm running late. I agree with everyone here as well, those slim fast shakes are not great for you and a marketing ploy, I'd suggest make your own protein…
  • you know what Jem, I think that is a fantastic idea...it's been a long road and not an easy road and I'm really happy with it and until I seen those #'s earlier I figured I was good where I am, but seeing that and thinking another 21 lbs :# :# ...I'm fitting into a size 12 or size 10, which is where I envisioned myself…
  • Hey folks, figure I would check in and let you know that things have been better since this conversation last week, really appreciate the support.
  • I'm on there and very active with Fitbit, I'm a big time walker and can use walking challenging buddies. amanda_odea@yahoo.com
  • thanks so much peeps, you've been awesome and very encouraging. I definitely know how to do this and I know it's the life time commitment and I certainly need to come to terms with that fact or I'll end up back in the boat I was to begin with. Thinking about doing a zumba step classes that should peek my interest into…
  • Thanks gals :) I was like it most of last week and it seemed to be like it again today. Maybe that's a good idea that I put my goal in maintenance for a few weeks and see if that does help. I'm going to be starting doing some Zumba classes this week and hopefully that will change up the activity a bit and still burn a pile…
  • I'm also an addict with my fit it as well, 10,000 steps is a must I'm even happier when I can get more, loves my exercise goals, I also like the hourly count as well, but because I only sync my fit it after the end of the work day I can't tell how I'm doing until I get home, I'm usually 8/10 hours though so I'm happy with…
  • Is the problem with the Iphone? I have trouble with it from time to time, but (finding some wood to knock on) it hasn't been giving me grief now in about a week.
  • I'm in the same boat, very frustrating :( anyone know why this is happening or if I can manually put it into MFP?
  • I own two of them, I have two cats and I have 1 dog and they balance each other out nicely. Cats are a little more low maintenance in regards they are less dependent, though like attention but not as much attention as a dog...a dog is a very loyal companion and very social and likes to be out and about enjoying activities.…
  • I had the same thing occur as well with Fitbit/MFP over the last two days, last night just before I went to bed it sent over my calories and they were calculated...very frustrating but hopefully it was a bug and is now fixed. I do have a question though while we are on this topic, Fitbit sends over to MFP how many calories…
  • So in Fitbit the calories burned is coming from the activities such as walking + steps, right and that piece of information is being send to MFP, so technically it j calculating my activity calories as well as steps. Also having trouble getting MFP to collect my activity calories from Fitbit, today and yesterday...that's…
  • I really envy those people with natural metabolism, gotta be great in someways but I just managed to take off 48 lbs, trying to go another 5 just to have a playing field to yo yo with, but I also know this is a lifetime battle...so if counting cals is the way to do this , so be it. Thanks folks :)
  • I've only weighed in twice a week, with Saturday's weight being the # I will log on MFP, since I started this journey back in January and that's been working great, so I suspect I'll be keeping that up. I'm 2 lbs away from my goal (so anxious for this) but very nervous about the maintenance side, I don't want to unravel…
  • So once this goal is met MFP will give an option for maintenance mode? What if I want to take off say an additional 5-6 lbs beyond that goal I have set, is there an option to change that too? I'm like 2 lbs away from this and it's driving me nuts, I want to reach it so bad.
  • Thanks folks :) What is my biggest challenge, that's a great question. Making sure that I didn't plateau, I did not want to do that...just wanted to keep on going and going until I reached my goal. My biggest challenge will be the maintenance mode, very nervous for that part. Best of luck Badass, MFP is the place to be to…
