I'm 60 , with high BP and colesteral, Doctor told me to start walking. I know that sounds boring but that would get you in better shape to lift. I'm bike riding now and my colesteral is almost normal. BP is normal. I started slow and am doing 5-10 mile bike rides with no problem.

I went from 145 to 139 while trying to get to my maintanace calories. You just have to add some more calories. I added 100 a day for a week till I stopped loosing.

I've added 200-300 a day the first week, then add 100 a day each week after that. weigh once a week and add or subtract as needed . Ive been doing this for 8 weeks and everything is working well. I am still loosing about 1 pound a week. I don't think Your going to gain very fast.

If your loosing weight to fast add calories either to your childs meals or yours. so you both weigh enough. Kinda like maintaining.

I tryed to go from walking to running, Found out it was a no go. So I tryed a bike. That worked with no problem. Lost a lot of weight on the bike. And I get my errands done this way.

I average my calories over a 7 day period. So if I go over 1 day I subtract part of them from the next day. Then part from the next 6 days till there gone. If I took them all from 1 day I would be to hungry and be tempted to eat to much again.

Add a little more each day till your eating enough. Choose healthy foods while your at it.
