Optimum nutrition gold standard whey

I usually will have oats with banana, flax, and protein. Maybe some blueberries right after a run
-
I try to stick to the 3-4:1 ratio as well, chocolate milk is a no go for me though. Lactose intolerance doesn't agree with that

Last day of sugar was dec. 31, holding out to my birthday in a week and a half then totally having froyo with a cookie on top

So 100g would be about 470 cals right? So 20g would be 94 cals

It's hard for me because I'm not trying to lose weight. I'm a runner currently in marathon training, so yes I need calories but just the fact that eating at night makes me feel awful the next day but it's a bad habit. After training last year I had some health problems from losing too much weight in training, so when I was…

I have the same problem I always snack at night. When I start getting breakfasts and lunches ready at night for the next day it throws me off and I can't stop! I justify it by saying that I'll run it off the next morning but I know it isn't really healthy for me to snack on junk right before bed. Any advice????

Yeah I've found that I really have no idea where to set my goal pace and I feel like race predictors haven't helped. I just finished week 1 of training, my plan is based off Hanson Method with speed work intervals and progressions. Hoping to Bq this year so hopefully this plan works!

What are your best tips and tricks for marathon training (workouts, pacing strategy, nutrition during training, etc.)??
-
Yes I always eat breakfast after I run that consists of fruit or oats and some form of protein (powder or eggs usually). I'll go up to twelve or thirteen miles without taking in carbs during a run. Anything over thirteen I'll take a Gu about halfway.

Thank you! I guess another question that comes up is that I usually workout first thing in the morning fasted. I do a lot of running first thing in the morning fasted, distance and speed workouts. Lifting will be later in the day after breakfast. It was mentioned to me that drinking the bcaas while running would help…

I've read that BCAA can help with muscle soreness, that's why I take it. Anyone have info on that? I feel like it helps but would like to get others view and knowledge on this.

Official training starting February 6! A half in April then the Idaho triple crown - full marathons June 4, July 29, and September 2! Never done anything like it, last year only did one marathon so any tips would be appreciate

Yes it's reasonable - don't do too much too quickly. Speed workouts like interval training and tempo runs will help speed and ive also studied research on how weight training can help too. If you're in your off season incorporate weights more - train the upper body for posture and endurance (3 sets of 12+ reps with lower…

You are right, it was my first marathon but I have ran long before. I don't have any weight to cut and I followed Hal Higdons intermediate program when training. It ranged from about 25/30-50 miles per week I believe. I'm new to racing so anything helps.
-
Yes I was stoked, thank you! I'm hoping to make it there one day in the next few years (I'm 20 so technically have 14 years haha). Starting a training program Monday to increase speed

Just finished my first marathon at 3:39:21!! Have relays and 5ks this year but now training to get faster and hopefull qualify for Boston! (I'm a big dreamer I know)

I'm trying to gain! Underweight. My goal is 115 but it's hard.

In also looking to gain in a healthy way! I need food ideas to reach my calorie goals! Add me!

I am in the same boat as you!!!! My diary is open to friends, I am going to add you if that's alright. I've been trying to hit 2200 calories but it is so hard for me. Avocado and nuts are what I've been using for more calories.

It was bio electric but I'm doing another test on Monday the old fashioned measuring way. And everything I have learned is that 10-15% is the minimum for proper menstration, not to survive?

I have posted a new profile picture that is more recent.

Yes it is my gyno I will be seeing! And that is good to know because I feel like even 1900 is a ton of food. I guess I just don't know how munch I burn. Thanks!

Seriously thank you everyone for feedback. I am seeing my doctor next week but went to a wellness center yesterday where they did an "inBody" test. They said it was very accurate. I plan on decreasing running to two 5 milers per week but still lifting 3x per week. I always take 2 rest days per week. And just got back from…

Thank you all!! Yes, I haven't had a period for a few months now. I thought it was due to just working out so much but I realize now it's a problem. I'm already planning on focusing more on lifting starting next week and a lot less running. It's hard because I am a healthy food nut And honestly don't have a huge appetite.…

Also are there long term consequences of low body fat or could I just gain weight when I want to have kids in a few years?
-
Now that I'm on maintainence the comments have started.. Yesterday with my mother and sisters one of my sisters asked if I was anorexic and my mother tried to pretty much shove donuts down my throat because I'm "too skinny." I seriously don't know how to respond because they don't listen when I tell them that I eat plenty…

Ok I have figured out my TDEE and changed the goals on here. I will work towards that because I know it will benefit me in training. Thank you!!

It's almost like I am afraid to eat more because I don't want to gain weight again. I really am trying to learn to eat like an athlete but it has been a difficult transition. Thank you everyone for the input!
