Money budget skills transfer directly to calorie budgeting. You've got a head start. Listen to your own body to determine how you should budget your calories and macros throughout the day. There's no good answer to your question. You already seem to have a way of eating that works for you to stay in a calorie deficit.

Read a bunch of the success stories. Ignore the parts about how much weight they've lost and pay attention to the healthier and better feeling parts.

Back yard? Get a heavy tire and a hammer. Sometimes pick up the tire. Sometimes, bang it with the hammer.

True story: In 1929, money disappeared from the countryside of Texas where my father was a young child. His father had raised a crop of sweet potatoes during the summer of 1929 on his farm of 320 acres. At harvest, no buyer could be found. During the winter of 1929-1930, the only food the family (3 people) had was the…

Starches are more complex than glucose, sucrose, fructose, galactose, etc. Starches are also more complex than the simple carbs found the refined flour used in baked goods. Some gluten-free baked goods are made with rice and these items might become RS after 12 hours of refrigeration, but I've never seen any published…

Things I do not track: Mustard, 0 cal. Zero colas, 0 cal. Salt, 0 cal. Some days, too often, I do not track much at all.

Cardio while watching tv. In my case, the effort squelches the thoughts of snacking while watching the show and for a few hours afterward.

Technically speaking of the phrase "hubba hubba". I shall state that it is a verbal description of an accelerated heartbeat, such as does arise when a human sees a healthy other human.

Another feature of protein is that 30% of the calories available in protein are wasted in getting the energy of calories out of the protein. That's called the Thermic Effect of Food, or TEF. Protein has a 30% TEF.

At the restaurant, order a To Go box with your entree. Put half of it in the box before you take a bite. Skip the dessert. At the in-laws, use small plates.

I have a similar situation in my household. All of us, whether we have a household or not, have a superabundance of tempting food. There is enough food, cheap food, for all of us that we must learn to regard food as a necessary good which we use to nourish our lives. There is no need to seize the first opportunity to eat.…

Fruits, yes. Veggies, yes. Sauerkraut, yes. Mustard, no. Salt, usually not. Ground black pepper, yes.

My mother's recipe for banana pudding says, "Butter the size of an egg". That's 4 tbsp in modern stick butter.

There was a time, a couple of years ago, when I had my body fat ratio measured in a dunk tank. The printout from that measurement said that my bf% put me in the category of "Athlete". I'm fairly certain that I've not spent a single day at or below that weight since. Having spent all my life as 'fat' or 'obese', it seems…

You can find many suitable "sit down" exercises on youtube. Just do a search. The important thing about losing weight is that you weigh your food and count your calories. Do you have a kitchen scale?
-
Weigh the ingredients of the recipe. Write them on paper if you want. I use paper in the kitchen, then an Excel spreadsheet when I get to the myfitnesspal old recipe tool. When finished creating the dish, perhaps while it cooks, create your recipe. Use the total weight of all your ingredients, in grams, as the "serving…

https://healthyeating.sfgate.com/glucose-fructose-metabolism-6981.html The information at this link regarding fructose is something I had not be familiar with. That is, the sugar from fruit, fructose, can bypass the cellular mechanism which burns it, and instead be converted directly to fat.…

Sometimes 15 ml heavy cream. Sometimes 16 or even 17 ml. Very rarely a cinnamon stick. Most often, nothing.

The only place I know of where the parents are welcome to say anything about the school food is in the small and very wealthy town of Highland Park, Texas. Perhaps I'm thinking of the even smaller and wealthier University Park. Both are surrounded by Dallas. In whichever it is, parents volunteer to serve as cafeteria…

Today I had a mind to do a lot of exercise, so I did. That gave me a lot of exercise calories to eat. I'm at 2100 calories eaten today, have exceeded my protein macro and have over 500 remaining. I'm done.

I'm not sure, at this time, that I have a "kryptonite". I thought, a few years ago, that it was Nutella. Now, it doesn't seem to be. I thought, a few years ago, that it was chocolate. Now, it doesn't seem to be. What I've been doing has been nothing more exotic than weighing and logging the foods. Even on days when I…

Automatic feeder. I have an automatic feeder programmed to drop 3 times per day, 1/4, 1/4, and 1/2, for a total of 1 cup dropped daily at 6 am, 12 noon, and 6 pm. Both adult male indoor cats maintains a healthy weight. They know when to expect the drop and they will hover around the feeder in the minutes before.
