If someone was interested in becoming a personal trainer how much difference do the different recertification agency (obviously a reputable true certification) really have? Are the certifications very general or is one geared more towards one on one training vs groups or stregth training vs cardio?

Over the past 10 weeks I have lost an average of 2.3 lbs per week. I know there is the whole 1-2 pounds per week but with your statement that my weight loss is relatively slow do you think I can or should increase that? Or stay on the path I'm on?

Calipers were done by a trainer at my gym. Taken in three locations. Chest between nipple and arm pit. To the side of belly button and upper quad. Each measurement repeated three times.
-
Fair enough, just want to hold on to everything I can.

I used to be a triathlete and was eating 6000-8000 calories a day to keep up with the 20+ hours a week of training. Life happened and I stopped racing but I continued to eat more than I should and I went from 165 - 220. At the end of January I started losing weight. I don't have the complete story with all the measurements…
-
Then suggest something else it could be?
-
I understand. My statement was in response what makes up Lean Body Mass. If I was retaining water that would not show up as a lean muscle loss.
-
Yes I do but what else do you propose would be losing at that rate? Certainly not bone or organs? If it was water then that doesn't play into the suggestion that retained water is causing a measurement error.
-
So are you telling me that if you use two different ways of measuring and they both say the samething they are both wrong in exactly same way? Possible, sure Probable not likely.

I am targeting 190 grams of protein 63 grams of Fat and 143 grams of carbs.
-
Alright thanks

I would suggest picking a race or two to really test yourself, proper taper and all that stuff. Use most of the others as training without a tape rand you will be surprised at how well you still do but you get the experience of racing.
-
I raced when I lived in Colorado. Very competitive. I qualified for Hyvee National Championships and obviously did lots of racing around Boulder and Denver area. Don't feel pressured to jump to Ironman distance. I would first suggest you decide if you want to do races for fun or if you want to race for the podium. Totally…

Are you up until 5 because you have to or you can't sleep?
-
Every morning

When you say way over I'm not sure what that means. Can you provide a breakdown of your macros?

Interesting about the Zyrtec my allergist is the one that said to take it at bedtime. It isn't the Zyrtec-D but still might be that.

I do not drink coffee, nor any other beverage with caffeine. I drink only water and and I have tried the tea that had no caffenine in it.

I am weightlifting three days a week and playing basketball 2-3 days a week.

"Victim of the food industry"? , No one has forced anyone of us to eat any food. I believe that for anyone to be successful, and I mean truly successful in the long term you have to accept accountably for the choices you made. Otherwise you will just fall back into the same trap.
-
I was kinda thinking the same thing but the weight loss counselor my wife and I have been speaking to said keep doing what I am doing. Even when I asked if I was eating too little.
-
Good to hear that there is hope for me. Obviously with my back ground and success losing the weight so far I can commit myself. Just wanted to confirm it was still going to beagle to get that "muscular fitness" look.
-
Yes I am now at 202 at 24% body fat. I am currently running macros at 45% carbs 30% protein 25% fat. Targeting 1700 calories in food.
