  • it's not me who's been ignoring but you
  • Cal deficit is not a part of box diet specification. It's up to a person to implement his or her particular box contents. In my specific implementation of the box diet there has certainly been a cal deficit.
  • My approach is pretty simple-put the food in the box. It doesn't require specific deficit. Just put the food that you think is good for you in the box. No deficit, no malnutrition.
  • A general advice is that weight alone can be used as a success metric of one's dieting efforts. I lost some muscle, and some fat.
  • Generally recommended values of average intake of various nutrients, fats, proteins etc over some time interims. The idea is good but largely irrelevant to weight loss efforts.
  • I believe that checking certain micro consumption norms might be a good idea.
  • Yes, to try this diet out get a box, something like 5-liter box I think would do fine. You can get bigger box, but if it's too big it's going to be difficult to put it inside a bag or something if you go someplace. At the morning put all things for the day (24 hours) to come you want to eat. And eat absolutely nothing but…
  • My plan is just like that of any other person I think .. To live and enjoy life :-). I think it is reasonable goal to keep weight under 80kg. I don't really count calories every morning when preparing the box very strictly, I just staff the box with some reasonable amount of food. I think it is important to continue boxing…
  • Yes certainly I think to eat a bit more...
  • Thank you for the congrats, It seems to me that my average cal intake over 29 days, taking into accounts 5 or so days of 0-intake (hunger days kind of), was not less than like 1500 cal/day. Just to think of all the wine and chocolate I consumed :-). It's not been really difficult, and I guess 500 cal/day would more…
  • The average weight loss was like 10kg/29days=0.345kg=0.76 pounds weight loss per day.
  • I wanted to be 75kg/1.85m, but I think now that 80/1.85 is fine with me too. So maybe I won't try to reduce my weight further.
  • To claim the lack of nutrients one should know my average nutrient intake over some time. It's not possible to deduce this from the picture of just several boxes on several given days.To reach the conclusion of nutrient deficiency one should get more data than what I have made available on this forum.
  • Hit 80kg , after 29 days of boxing. 80kg/1.85m, down from 90kg/1.85m. 79.8 kg weight, 2 lowest in 10 year time interim.
  • I stick to the box. That's the point. Outside of the box only wine (2 bottles a week) and milk (like 1 liter per week), and some 2 lemons per week. Sticking to the box, that's the point. On the picture I just put things outside of the box to show the box contents more clearly .
  • What doesn't make any sense is your commenting efforts. My diet is not the same as the lunch diet.
  • My diet is not about things you eat. You can't even understand what my diet is about.
  • It is substantial fat amount. Don't even kid yourself. Likely within 20% body fat now.
  • Well.. with weight loss everyone has his own way... Whatever works for you...
  • I suspect it is just the way it is.. you lose some fat, some muscle, I can't really help it. Sure I want to lose only fat, but it is just not the way thing work out.
  • I lost 6 kg in less than 2 weeks. It works out very well. It just can't go forever, losing weight at this speed.
  • Definitely I feel I lost some muscle tissue. I struggle with some weight to lift that was not big for me like 2 weeks ago.Unfortunately I feel I lost quite a bit of pure muscle strength... :-(
  • After about two weeks of some huge weight loss and what feels like big fat-mass loss (6kg lost in less then two weeks), my weight suddenly started to ... grow. On small boxes with total day about 1700 cal the weight grows . It's really frustrating. 84kg / 185, down from 90kg/185. Target weight: 75 kg.
  • Guys and girls, thank you for the responses. Everyone has his/her own way to do weight loss/dieting. There are many wonderful tools and ways for that. I wrote on what I've been doing , it's not a joke, and it works out very well. Let each of us have his or her own way. My apology if I was a bit on the negative side toward…
  • Get your numbers straight, that's all. You are simply miscalculating.
  • What you think is pretty irrelevant and downright wrong.
  • It's downright wrong. The box diet is not about 1200 cal/day or 300 cal/day or 2500 cal/ day. It's not about fat-zero, carb-zero, protein-about, low-hyco and etc things. It's about limiting your intake correctly. It's about getting your numbers add up to box calory values, not some other likely hugely miscalculated-by…
  • I have said multiple times that the box contents is changing daily. And the cal deficit is changing too accordingly. Claims of sub-micro nutrition are downright wrong. We are talking elements intake over time. Get your numbers straight!
  • Yesterday's box was real hard. Today it's time for some wine to recompense for it.
