  • Let the housework go a bit, or let him blooming well do some. I go to the gym an hour a day whilst my partner looks after the kids. He plays sport twice a week. The house could be cleaner, but if I didn't have my time for me at the gym I would be unhappy and an unhappy house is worse than a slightly untidy one.
  • Elliptical...easier on the joints than treadmill.
  • True...I suppose previous commenters lecturing me (when I don't recall asking for advice) has got me on defence mode. I'm on a random weight loss app, so why I care I don't know. Think I'm just sick of living in a nanny state where everyone feels they can tell you how to live your life and what to do with your own body. I…
  • My thunder thighs and round face hiding my good cheekbones.
  • Oh my gosh! Lol because I don't want to, I want to lose 7 more kgs and then start. Why? Because I am an independent grown adult who can do what I Like, right, wrong, or otherwise. And in regards to previous comment saying people defend 1200 like it's the only way to lose weight, I'm well aware I could eat more and lose…
  • I know my BMR and TDEE. MFP set my calories at 1200 to lose 1kg a week. So that's what I'm doing. For a total of 14wks, 7.of which has passed. I will then be up to around 1800 or so calories I believe, but I will probably eat more as I will be increasing my weight lifting and fitness will have improved.
  • Long term I would agree. Short term I believe it is ok.
  • I will be doing more lifting in about 7 weeks once I'm at maintenance calories.
  • I'm pretty sure people know that fat doesn't turn into muscle, and that muscle merely replaces the fat...it's just what everyone says...
  • I don't eat exercise. Alories! Need that buffer for incorrect calories burned and incorrect calories logging.
  • Agree with previous sentiments if you have the $$$ some subtle cosmetic intervention is the only way to go. Or even atleast just getting Fraxel, RF skin tightening things like that. Creams do *kitten* all. And the obvious hydration, good food especially your proteins and vitamin C's etc, silk pillowcase, facial toning…
  • 182cm. 75kg. Size 10-12 Australia sizing.
  • Well I guess my personal reality is I feel good in terms of my body and my food intake (can get a lot of chicken & salad/veges in a 1200 diet! Psychologically I feel great having lost the weight. And I guess I'll feel even better in another 7 weeks when I've reached my goal and can up my calories. That's my reality, and…
  • I weigh food. But I don't eat exercise calories back to give me a buffer if I log anything wrong.
  • I agree, that 1200 a day calories and exercise is not hard, I'm not starving, I'm not exhausted. And for me it's short term. I really think people overreact about things like this. If I was feeling really crappy and starving, and what not, I'd understand.
  • Sugar makes you want to eat and eat, I've cut a lot of sugar out and I don't have bad cravings anymore. They are mild and manageable where as before I couldn't resist... What I did have to do is get bad foods out of the house for a few months. They are back now - for my partner, but it's been so long I'm not needing them…
  • Try a hypnotherapy weight loss recording..
  • Biscuits (cookies) are my biggest temptation. So good with a cup of tea or coffee...
  • Can make you look old! I know that! (Glycation).. that's the thing that scares me the most!
  • My sisters coming over tomorrow so we will be having lots of pastry! Prob be my whole days calories so will have to make up for it by going harder at the gym and eating less over the next few days... But boy am I looking forward to a chocolate pastry or 4...
  • When you want to OVER eat. Can't see it as a terrible thing, as I said, as long as your getting your protein, essential fats, antioxidants and so forth in your other meals...
  • Agreed. It's from focusing on body image too much, you start to notice everything.
  • If you exercise enough you don't really have to diet... So if your happy to go really hard at the gym or wherever...
  • A few cups of coffee a day have been proven to be good for your health. As long as the other meals are nutritious and your drinking water I think it can be healthy and helpful!
  • Also, yes 1200 is low, but short term I highly doubt it's going to be very detrimental to my health.. the food I am eating is healthy. The exercise is healthy. The meditation is healthy. I'm sure I'll cope just fine for 7 more weeks.
  • It doesn't really need to be sustainable as I'm only going to do it for 7 more weeks, til I hit my goal, then I'll be on maintenance calories which are a lot more.
  • I had to remove all snacks much to my partners dismay, because I had no willpower... 2 months on and I can avoid them but at first I couldn't. I would look in the cupboard and the fridge a million times and not have anything handy to grab so I wouldn't eat!
  • Lol yeh I know. No I'm not breastfeeding, I wouldn't do it if I could breastfeed.
  • Oops 7 week old and 12 MONTH old I mean!!
  • To be honest I don't really know the ins and outs of it all, might be doing it all wrong but psycholgically I will just feel better about myself to get to my goal weight and then can happily focus on toning. And I'm not at all suffering on the low cals, even with a 7 week old, 12wk old, part time job and daily gym and…
