Oh ok, I haven't heard of this TDEE...Will Google.

My damned thunder thighs :p

1800 supposedly equates to an 0.25kg weight loss. I tried to go for 0.5kg but I was too hungry!!
-
Yep MFP has set 1800

I've found that orlistat will work if your having some amount of fat in your diet (and it will DEFINITELY let you know if you've had too much fat!) I'm pretty sure it was the pesto that made me crap my pants on my morning (thankfully alone) walk many moons ago...

Has anyone seen "the diet myth" regarding the role of microbial activity on weight loss. Interesting documentary. A tid bit of it is microbiologists implanting certain microbes from chronically obese people and putting them into rats. Even though the rat was given less calories than the control rat, it still put on weight.…

I felt so sick and lethargic and just off but my brain was telling me I was still hungry and to eat more!!.ice been eating a lot less sugar and crap than I used to so my brain went crazy for it!!.it's…

I found a few posts referring to what I think she means about all calories not necessarily being equal. Ie. Webmd says "Food produces hormonal effects in the body, some say store fat, whilst others say release sugar. Study after study shows that diets based on the same calories but with different proportions of fat,…

Good old daily mail. Always rehashing old news! It's interesting though.

I chose my goal weight as 70kgs, and a weight loss of 0.5kgs a week. And obviously I put in my height age etc when I set it up.
-
Hellllllllllllllp :( :p

And ps the muesli bars are full of sugar! So although they are not the worst they are far from great nutrition.
-
Yeh thought it was strange. They are vegan though and very strict on what they eat so... Until I can curb my sugar cravings down to fruit I will continue my occasional muesli bars and avalanche hot chocolate guilt free...

What's given me the drive to help REDUCE my sugar intake is knowing what it does for ageing. Particularly the skin. See: glycation. That is my biggest driver.

Orlistat and exercise!

Shall do!! That's pretty simple arithmetic you think someone in the company would be able to master! That's why I thought for sure there HAD to be something I was missing about the whole set up?! Anyway thanks for your input guys.

Hmm that's interesting because the day before when I ate a little more (but still meeting the 1200) I did have a better projection - 85.4kgs or so I believe (still not the 3.75kgs plus I would have expected though).

I just don't understand how losing 0.75kgs for 5wks equates to a less than 1kg weight loss in their little "in 5 weeks...." encouraging post when you complete the entry? Bamboozled...

I go off the calories on gym equipment I use that goes off your Wright age heartbeat etc. I know they are still not that accurate so I take that into account. I also do aerobics classes and if they say you can burn say 600 calories I'll bring it down to 500 when I log.
-
Encouraging? That I would lose so much less than 0.75kgs a week! I'm so confused...lol. In regards to eating the 1200 is that so my body doesn't go into starvation mode?
-
Sorry that's slightly inacurate. I'm eating about 1500 calories a day but burning 500 a day leaving. Leaving it as if I had eaten 1000. I dont know if that makes a difference. I'm new to this.
