I'm at the threshold of Onederland.

Three weeks in! I start P90X3 tomorrow, so I finally got some before photos taken. I wish I had done it sooner, but we didn't. Oh well. Height: 5'9" SW (challenge): 207.4 CW: 200.6 GW:177.4 UGW: 155

Commit to making healthy choices for today. Don't look to the past. Keep your eye on your goal, dust yourself off and move forward. And remember: failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.

Wow! Three weeks gone already. I've been making great progress. I'm down 6.8 pounds since the challenge started. I'm on the threshold to Onederland, so I'm really close to one of my mini goals. I also finished Jillian Michaels Beginner Shred yesterday. I was going to do 30 Day Shred, then P90X3, but I'm scrapping 30DS and…

I'm usually craving salty stuff, so I make sure I have lots of gourmet type pickles and jarred peppers on hand. I also have little dark, dark chocolates on hand. They have lots of iron, so it's no wonder we crave chocolate at that TOM! I don't worry a bit about water weight because I'll pee it off or sweat it out later. I…

Way to go! Looks like we're roughly in the same boat. I have a baby who just turned 10 months old, and I also gained 50+ pounds, which I lost by February, and I still had 70 lbs to lose to get to my GW. I'm down about 20, so I only have 50 to go. Keep up the good work!
-
Wow! You look amazing. Keep up the good work.
-
That's gotta feel great! Excellent work, both of you!
-
Great job! You look 10 years younger. It's hard to believe it's the same person.

I went to rest my hand on my back just above my hip, and there was no more back fat.

My hip bones are how high?!

I love this thread, and I can relate to so many of the comments. Thank you, OP, for posting the question, and thanks to all those who contributed to the discussion. I have learned a lot.

I did, back in college. I worked night shift at a bank, went to school in the morning, lost 70 lbs in ten months. In some ways it was easier to control my eating on night shift because food options were more limited, and grocery shopping at 2am on my nights off was wonderful! I would get up around 6 or 7pm, eat breakfast…

I got to ditch the bra extender!

1. Still here 2. Biggest accomplishment is getting flexible enough to touch my toes. Biggest lesson is that I'm likely going to have to accept some form of portion control/calorie counting for years in order to maintain any losses I achieve in the long term. 3. Biggest challenge was the weekend--date night on Friday with…

Way to go!

Congratulations! Way to work hard, push through, achieve your goals, and keep setting new ones!

No more muffin top on my fat pants! (Hey, gotta start somewhere.)

There's a world of difference between a whole-food plant based diet, which can be a very healthy choice, and an "Oreos & Pringles" vegan diet. I avoid meat and cheese analogs and most prepackaged foods. Vegan diets, like other diets, can be healthy if you avoid the food-like substances.

I think it seems like a good way of allotting your food for the day if you are a visual person and have a hard time with night time snacking. Might not work for everyone, but if it works for you, go for it!

I was 5'10" before my back surgery, but I'm still 5'10" at heart. Also a veggie. I had a baby last May, got up into the 270's while pregnant. I started my weight loss efforts this February around 220, and now I'm at 207, with a GW of 150-155. I'm feeling really hopeful this time around with losing weight. I usually hit a…

Hi! I've been transitioning to a whole-food plant based diet since October for health reasons. I'm about 95% there. There are lots of great resources out there. There is a veg group on here called Happy Herbivores. They have an extensive list of online resources. I really like Lindsay Nixon's cookbooks (Happy Herbivore…

My fitness level is really low, so I've been working my way through Jillian Michael's Beginner's Shred. I'm halfway through it. Then I plan to do the 30 Day Shred, and then I'll dust off my P90X3 DVDs and work my way through that program again since I loved it so much last time.

Goals are met by the small and simple choices we make over the course of time. Choose today to make healthy choices for today.

Sixteen weeks will pass whether or not you try, so you might as well try.

I'll be 37, too, at the end of July.

Hi! I'm Dana from Indiana. I'm 36, a mom of 6 wonderful kids. My poor eating habits over the years are starting to catch up to me in terms of poor health, and I need to set a better example for my children. I am back again to clean up my diet, get some exercise in, hoping to turn my bloodwork numbers around. I have 60…

I'm trying to turn the ship around for good, too.

I really don't like cardio. Or at least, the cardio I like (trail running) I can't do. I do like lifting weights. I lost 40 lbs with one round of P90X3, and I liked it because I never got bored with it, but I might if I did it for 6 months or more. I'm trying to work on a long-term game plan and find things I can carry…

I've been transitioning to a vegan diet since last October. Feel free to add me, too.
