No because they're playing the victim. They should have done research once they got home as to what it takes to keep their weight at maintenance. That's no ones fault but their own. They didn't watch what they were eating and they stopped exercising.

To add to the top post, I'm not the type of person who can eat only salads and vegetables. That's the fastest way to kill off all of my motivation and drive and that's the reason in the past I gained everything back. I eat what I want, whenever I want, and keep it within my goal range. 30 chews of anything for me just turn into food mush and powder! Yeuck! I'd say just put the fork down, like everyone else has mentioned. Sometimes I'll take a large gulp of water or three after every few bites to help fill up my tummy more.

@queenliz99 Haha, when I first started some months ago, my family would always joke around, "Ooh, guess you're off your diet" when I ate something and it wasn't considered salad. Over time they've learned that I don't have to eat the pasture to lose weight. c; Since then, I haven't had to deal with anything.

Well I do know if the examples involve you, you probably SHOULD eat more than 700 calories a day and quit with the unhealthy dieting non-sense. That's only short term results and long term destruction.

Man I came in here for the "GOOD VS TERRIBLE" debate and it's not even happening. Just logical folk posting logical information. I drink diet sodas constantly. It helps destroy my sweet cravings. If I did away with them, I'd probably binge even more.

Get a food scale, find out your TDEE, and enjoy your meals. If you're not the type to eat nothing but salads and vegetables, then don't force yourself to eat only that.
