  • I'm 5'2" if I stand up straight LOL My diary is open. I've lost 50lbs and working toward losing another 90lbs.
  • Do you have a food scale? I would weigh your food in grams. Most foods in the database list grams as an option, and if not, they usually have ounces which is a fairly easy conversion. Unfortunately, a lot of foods just aren't entered in tablespoon measurements.
  • I think that walking is a great beginner exercise. Just getting the body moving, even if you have to break it out in to several short walks during the day, is still going to be beneficial. My first two months back, I only walked. It's just within the last 2 weeks that I've started adding additional workouts at the gym. I'm…
  • I use Heavy Cream. 2T for my 20oz of coffee. Only 90 calories, 0g sugar or carbs. Whoops. I missed that you said "flavored". I do also use a couple of squirts of Syrup when I want a bit of flavor and sweet. I use this brand not necessarily this flavor, it is sugar free, but does have artificial sweeteners if that is…
  • Not to pile on, but another recommendation for C25K. I did it 8-9 years ago and eventually got to the point of running 4-6 miles a day several days a week. If you wanted, you could probably skip the first week or two, but honestly, I think that you still might find some benefit doing the entire program as written. Like…
  • Do you have the option of working with a personal trainer? Even if it is just to get started on a routine. If not, this is a great book, highly recommend. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1583333398?ie=UTF8&tag=louschulercom-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1583333398
  • I was running with some regularity back in 2010-2012, gettin out 3-4 days a week and running between 4-6 miles. Then I hurt my back and all exercise stopped. Due to my injury, my inability to workout, and just being complacent, I gained over 140lbs. Yes. 140lbs. On my 5'2" frame, I weighed twice what I should. My weight…
  • Feel free to look at my diary, it's open. I don't eat a lot of eggs, and my only dairy is usually some cream in my coffee and occasionally some cheese, both which you can just ignore :)
  • Check out the book called Ketotarian by Dr Will Cole. I don't think it's Vegan, but pretty sure it is Pescatarian/Vegetarian Keto. It might help you some.
  • It doesn't matter. I actually did both yesterday :)
  • HW: 274.7lbs Keto restart (4/7/19): 246.8 GW: 135lbs June GW: 213 Sunday, 5/26: 227.8 06/02: 223.9 06/09: 223.1 06/16: 06/23: 06/30: Sigh. I was a pound and a half less yesterday. I was higher than normal in calories but still had an 1100 calorie deficit. C
  • Is this directed at something in particular? I thought that this entire thread was well intentioned and supportive.
  • I take Magnesium every day. You could also ditch the banana, they can be binding. Maybe not the best option, but those Fiber One bars make me go #2 every time.
  • When I had bloodwork done last August it was at like 3 o’clock and I had been fasting for like 30hrs. My BG was low, in the 60’s or 70’s I think. My doctor was thrilled given that a few years prior I was diagnosed with Metabolic Syndrome. As long as you feel fine when fasting I wouldn’t worry.
  • Have you been fitted for proper running shoes? If not, I would start there. I got terrible shin pain when I first started running, got fitted and once I started wearing the proper shoes I had no more issues. You just need to go in to a local running store and they will work with you to find the perfect shoe for you. Some…
  • They do, it's called Heavy Cream LOL
  • I personally think that the NEAT calculation that MFP uses way over estimates my calories burned. I prefer to use the output from my FB Ionic, I personally feel as though it is a more accurate estimate. Please note that for both I used the word "estimate". Neither is going to be perfect, but it can certainly be a good…
  • I love my FitBit Ionic. I really like the FitBit platform as well. I would miss it if I ever switched to a different "step counter".
  • I'm not sure I totally understand the question, but am going to pretend that I do LOL Do you mean that you are entering a recipe in to the recipe builder and then get confused when determining serving sizes? I just always do weight. So I enter all of my ingredients into the recipe builder. When it's complete, I weight the…
  • How much loose skin you will have after you lose weight depends on several factors - genetics, how long you've been overweight, and how quickly you lose weight. And it doesn't matter what type of exercise you do or what kind of diet you follow, it will have no impact on whether or not you have loose skin and/or how much…
  • Weigh it raw. Weigh it cooked. Eat what ever portion you want and then just do the math. For example. Your chicken is 12oz raw. It's 10oz cooked. You eat 5oz, so 1/2 portion. Take the NI that you got for the raw chicken and multiple by 50%. Easy peasy.
  • I will allow myself diet soda when I go out, but I don't keep it in the house. I drink coffee with HWC in the morning, water all day, and maybe some unsweetened iced tea with dinner, but usually just water. I love the taste of diet soda but I've made a choice to not include them daily as a part of my WOE, so I don't drink…
  • It's crazy isn't? Before Keto I would have NEVER had trouble eating all of my calories, I would thought it was laughable. Like, hello? You didn't get fat by eating below your calorie level :) But Keto does amazing things to the body, especially when paired with IF. I do OMAD several days per week and really struggle…
  • How are you measuring your body fat %?
  • Weight loss is not linear. There are so many factors that can cause a temporary gain on the scale. As long as your overall trend continues down, you are good. I wanted to throw my scale out the window this morning when it showed a 1.2lb GAIN but then reminded myself, that I actually had a 1500 calorie deficit yesterday and…
  • Neither is healthier than the other, actually, they are equally unhealthy due to the added sugars. I'd suggest a natural brand with no added sugars.
  • The couple of times that I have done a side by side comparison, MFP way overestimated my calories burned. I just use my FitBit now. I don't usually eat back my exercise calories anyway, so at the end of the day, it probably doesn't matter too much, but I do like to track my deficit because I'm a numbers geek.
  • It goes back even further than that, April at least. OP is either messing with us, or just keeps posting hoping to get a different answer other than "go to the doctor". I can't help but wonder about the old addage about insanity, that it is defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result and…
  • I recommitted to Keto on 4/7/19 and have lost 24lbs since then, 52lbs overall. Love this WOE!
  • Try googling “recomp”, that sounds like what you are trying to do. You can’t target specific areas to lose fat but by eating at or close to maintenance you can build muscle and continue to burn body fat.
