Good morning, friends. Yesterday was day 71sober for me and feeling great! The people around me are finally starting to see that I am done with it for good. They have seemed to stop asking me to drink so that's good. My spouse continues to drink but that is her choice. One thing that I noticed recently is when she has one…

The old fat is bad marketing scam myth is still circulating to this day. Humans need a certain amount of fat to survive. If a human ate Rabbitt meat only we would die from malnutrition because they contain little to no fat. Read up on Keto and you will see that Fat isn't the enemy its actually necessary. :)

Everyone is different but for me drinking alcohol makes me very hungry and I end up eating high calorie junk foods. Also, I can't stop at one drink and when I start, I drink daily as a habit. I have learned alcohol messes with my brain and makes me make bad choices in what I say and do. So, I'm 100% alcohol free now and…

Excellent results! :) I am on day 67 AF and feel pretty amazing. knowing what I know now I'm done drinking for good. At age 55 I don't have many sunrises left so I need to make every day count and to be the best man I can be so this means no more alcohol and all its nasty side effects. The only drawback for me now is I am…

Baby steps my friend. If you stay consistent with your calorie intake at a deficit and really want it, it will happen.

Protein keeps my hunger in check! I eat 2 free-range eggs for breakfast. 2 homemade wild game snack sticks for lunch (currently consuming black bear snack sticks). Dinner varies but includes more protein. Tonight is venison steak stir fry. Yum! Store bought meat makes me gag! lol

I use this sight to keep track of my calories and add to the community posts. I'm not much into cyber socializing so it had no real impact on me. :)

For me cravings were always about unhealthy sugar filled or highly processed food choices. The junk food industry has learned what additives make their food addictive and get away with making people sick. I had to shift my mind and see garbage food for what it is literally garbage that even my dog probably wouldn't eat.…

Keep up the good work everyone and watch for those I need a drink triggers! It's just your brain craving a dopamine drain. Don't let it win :)

Hello my sober friends. 64 days AF as of yesterday. feeling awesome! On a side note, I noticed some people in my life are supportive of my decision to not drink anymore. However, some people that are very close to me are starting to turn on me unfortunately one of them is my significant other. The words "I can't have a…

I don't weigh my food. Never did and never will and I'm currently maintaining. :)

I no longer track. I hit my goal weight about a month ago. Tracking did enable me to lose the weight and understand the calories I was eating but for the most part I eat the same foods all day and very my dinners to keep things interesting.

You got this! It really is a mental game. If you can stay persistent and develop good habits it will be effortless to lose the weight. It was for me anyway. :)

Great job everyone! :) AF - 61 A - none since Sep 15th 2024. :) Just a little side note here. Back on Sep 14th when I had my last drink, I was 165lbs and feeling just awful pretty much every day because of my daily drinking habit. Now I am down to 142lbs and feeling energetic and focused all day and my sleep is 100%…
