Bummer for sure but life goes on.. :)

When I used to track my calories, I logged everything that went in my mouth... :) I haven't tracked for a while now and it feels good. :)

One thing I find interesting is I lost my taste for full alcohol beer. I do enjoy the NA variety but for some reason I can't get through a beer with alcohol. I see this as a positive step forward. :)

Getting old sucks. Joint pain issues at age 56 Ugg!! I have worked physically hard all my life beating my body up pretty good and need to take it slow now... lol I just started a basement renovation, so I need to pace myself. :)

Woops had a glass of wine with dinner yesterday. lol I am able to moderate now and drink occasionally if I want to without any fears of daily drinking again. :) AF = 3 A = 1 cheers!

I did 90 days dry in 2024. Had a few glasses of wine over the holidays with no ill effects and no crazy cravings to drink daily again. So refreshing knowing that I can choose to drink if I want to once in a while and it's no big deal now. However, I am doing dry January for a new challenge. :)

Happy new year everyone. :) Had some wine over the holidays and was able to moderate pretty well and found it to be not so pleasant like it used to be. :) Dry January is what I'm doing to get back on track. :) AF = 1 A = 0 cheers!

Happy Holidays everyone! I had a few glasses of wine over the holidays. Not many but I was able to moderate and that is a good thing. Truth be told I didn't really enjoy it, and I see that as a good thing. :) I am now doing dry January to lose the extra 2lbs I put on over the holidays. lol Back to reality today and I will…

A few things I picked up on. I am the same height (5'7") and maintaining at 140lbs. You wrote you have been eating 1200 to 1500 calories for 4 weeks now and you are stuck at 194lbs. That is pretty much impossible because you are probably overestimating your calories. 1200- 1500calorie is way below what you need to eat to…

Hello everyone! Now that Alcohol is gone from my life, I am moving on to eliminating some toxic foods to hopefully reduce my joint inflammation issues. Going to eliminate for 10 days to see how I feel. I know it's the holiday season so there is no better time than now... lol Eliminate All dairy (milk and cheese) Sugar…

I have a dedicated desk job as well. I have a standup sit down desk. I stand for probably 6+hrrs per day alternating from sitting to standing. Also take frequent breaks and walks to keep the blood flowing to my legs. Humans were not meant to sit as much as we do... :)

Morning all! The most challenging days to be AF are upon us. My personal plan is to have none. The peer pressure will be over the top, but I will be strong and get through this with a clear head and a healthy attitude! :) cheers!

good luck! :)

Interesting post for sure. Most Canadians have no idea what they are consuming. I cringe when I see other people's grocery carts filled with garbage processed foods I wouldn't feed to my dog! Hopefully RFK can turn your country around someday... :)

Welcome! I'm in Southern Ontario and can see Detroit on a clear day... lol I used to deer hunt in Michigan and it's a great state indeed! :)

Great progress! :)

Hello my LA friends. Had a real craft beer on Saturday after being AF for 90days. :( I did this to see if I could moderate my consumption. Well about 30min after the beer I felt a weird nausea and immediately regrated it. I see this experiment as a positive because now I know, and it won't happen again. So, Sunday I…

Good morning my sober friends! Bad news good news. :) Bad news is I had a regular beer on Saturday. I just wanted to see what would happen. :) Good news is I hated it. Felt really crappy and nausea for about an hour after. :( So, there it is I now know that alcohol is 100% a no go for me, and I can carry on with my…

Hello all! Today is 90 days AF for me. :) This was my original goal I set for myself, and I did it. lol I'm actually afraid to drink again because I know I can't moderate. I wish I could but deep down inside I know it would be a terrible idea for to drink again. So, I will just take it one day at a time and once the…
