Week 3 here we go! Thanks for starting this group! For me...right now... getting into the habit of daily exercise is about 60% of my lifestyle change... I want to get to where I don't have to think about it, it just is... only about 40% focused on nutrition now... I have never tracked calories before so this is new to…

I reached my first goal weight! 10 pounds down! Glad to be making this life change... I now weigh what I did when I got pregnant with my youngest son over 16 years ago. I have gotten to this weight 3 times in the last 16 years and gained it all back. Not this time people, I am determined that I will never see 200 pounds…

Only 1 more pound til my first goal weight. Glad those 3 pounds I picked back up last weekend came right back off. Weighing my self everyday.. don't know if that is good or bad but today it was a positive thing.

The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide you are not going to stay where you are.

Glad to see that scale go down again. Back to the Daily Dozen DVD and the treadmill as well as my walking at work. Watching the calories and progress is made

Well I learned a valuable lesson this week. 3 days of no treadmill, lazing around on the couch watching movies, combined with eating whatever I felt like eating, no concern for calories does NOT do well for trying to get fit. While time at the cabin is a refresher for my husband and I to get away, I will have to be more…

Still here.... felt good most of the week... have to weigh tomorrow to see if I lost overall... biggest challenge was date weekend with the husband - no treadmill - no scale and high calorie foods!
-
Going to the cabin with my husband for the weekend... hoping it is not to muddy and we can get some walking in to keep up the activity level. He has asked for some pretty high calorie meals so we shall see what the Monday weigh in brings me... hoping to be as good as I can over the weekend.

If you kinda sorta try then you kinda sorta get results!

Sweet tooth here as well. I am planning some chocolate into my calories most days so I have it to look forward to at the end of a long day. I know I will not stick to this life change if I don't allow myself sweets. I know I am an emotional eater also .... never paid attention to calories before and can't believe I used to…

Barb, while I don't cook for one I do make meals for my neighbor lady across the street when I cook. I do a once a month cooking day (as that is how we get paid and it really helps our budget) I use a book "don't worry dinners in the freezer" I make us dinners for the month and freeze them. I pull some out and freeze…

So auto correct should be looked at. Dr Seuss. Sorry

I am a fan of Dr Sue's "Today is your day, your mountain is waiting ... so get on your way"

Day two and I got myself back on the treadmill. We have a Golds Gym model that has been sitting on our landing because if it was closer to my bedroom rather than downstairs I would use it for sure. Hahaha. I crack myself up sometimes. It has been a great dust collector for months. Well today I dusted it off and did the…

I actually started my personal challenge 2 weeks ago and am down 7.4 pounds. I am 3.3 pounds from my first goal weight!

Monday is the perfect day to correct last week's mistakes!

2 weeks complete and 16 more to go for this first phase of getting fit. Weight wise I am down 7.4 pounds. I did not make any changes to exercise and just tracked calories for the last 14 days. I did not eliminate any foods, did not deny myself anything. I can keep this up I know. I am feeling encouraged by seeing results…

I am Dianne and I will turn 50 on June 16th. I want to lose at least 65 pounds in this next year to be a more fit 50. Can't blame my current weight on anything but laziness and lack of caring for myself. I have 4 kids and 3 grandkids. Been married for 29 years and have had a lot of life stresses in the last 9 years but…

Intermediate goals. It is funny my youngest is 15 and my goal weights are all tied to the weights I began each pregnancy at. 191 for #4 183 for #3 167 for #2 and 151 for #1. The 151 will get me to the losing 50 pounds mark I will get below 139 as a measuring point before I reevaluate where I want to be and how low I want…

I am in. I decided it was time for a change. My 50th birthday is in June and for the last 15 years I have weighed over 200 pounds. At 5'2" that is pretty much double an "ideal" weight. I don't see myself getting that small at my age. But you never know. Starting weight 201.6 February 15, 2016 Current weight 195.4 February…

I am 5'1" started at 201.6 pounds and size 16 pants 2xl tops

I am just starting and am going to lose 50 pounds minimum. Probably 65 before I am really comfortable

I am new. I will turn 50 in 4 months and am starting a 4 months to a fit 50 personal plan. I am going to lose a minimum of 50 pounds in total although not in the 4 months. Just want to be well on my way. This will put me below my pre pregnancy weight from 26 years ago.
