  • Hi,Team! MFP got my account unlocked so I can post in forums again. I'll admit without the ability to chat I didn't have the motivation to exercise so my numbers will be low this week. But I've done the videos and eaten pink navel oranges. Once on my pc I'll do the official intro for the points.
  • Oh! Me too. I had to set MFP to gain 0.5 lbs a week because I hated seeing the red. It wasn't until I did this I actually started maintaining instead of losing while eating my Fitbit adjustment. Now leaving 80ish calories uneaten everyday is just right and it feels better than going red by 170.
  • What everyone said but also give it time. I started out that way but the longer I maintain the more I eat and the hungrier I get and the more I can eat. 1500 used to be too much and now 2300 isn't enough. You will get used to the higher numbers pretty quickly.
  • Fitbit/MFP underestimates me and I lose on the maintaining mode. The math is looking like I can eat 175 more a day than fitbit gives me. YAY!
  • Well, I failed at 5 days under goal. At the moment my hunger levels are through the roof and, apparently, I can only stay at goal 4 days a week. I'm still pleased with my progress of maintaining but I am sorry to not last one more day for the team.
  • Mine didn't slow until the last 2lbs. The reason it did slow? Diet fatigue, increased hunger, and already being happy with the way I looked made it harder to stick to the deficit.
  • Hi team! What a full 2 weeks with family and food and good times. I finally stopped the downward creep of weight loss got back to my goal weight plus 3lbs more. I love it! But I'm now trying to drop 1-2lbs so my pants aren't uncomfortably tight. LOL. I find the tiny weight range available in the small pant sizes to be…
  • I'm thankful for my family and for my friends that are better than family. I'm thankful that I live in a place that speaks to my heart. I'm thankful for the four days of feasting on food and the GF pumpkin pie Mom sent home with me. I'm also thankful for Jimmy Fallon Thank You Notes: Cake Balls, Garlic Knots - NSW (or…
  • I hate excising but I love going out and playing and living an active life. So I swim 4 days a week and jog my dog every day (both are play). I walk 1.2 miles to the grocery store and carry home 32 lbs of food 2xs a week, heavy gardening, things like that. The first article showed that I'm not likely to put on 6lbs of pure…
  • It's my first time visiting this section. I've fallen farther below my goal weight than I like and I'm now trying to gain weight. I came here wondering with my active lifestyle but no weight lifting if I was destined to gain only fat. The first article was exactly what I was looking for. First article of the first post I…
  • I don't have very much blue or purple in my diet so I made a point of eating it for this challenge and for fun. I ate a lot more vegetables each day than listed but am keeping it short. Day 1: carrots (orange), yellow summer squash (yellow) sugar snap peas (green) Day 2: spinach (green), yellow bell pepper (yellow) Day 3:…
  • I'm glad to hear that the number issue is resolved. Welcome to the team @runwmeNC and @RunRaineyRun!
  • The color challenge will be cake. Today I made a huge pot of Quinoa Pasta and Cheese Sauce. 469 cal Red - red bell pepper Red Orange- carrots Yellow Orange- yellow squash Green- broccoli, green beans, sugar snap peas, lima beans white- water chestnuts Blue- Red Purple- Brown- mushrooms, the Quinoa Pasta- although as a…
  • lol. I was going to point out that there is another column but you already found it. edit for clarity from quoting the wrong post.
  • Thank you for asking. I was wondering the same thing.
  • Wow! As a team we killed the challenges this week. I don't think I've ever seen so many filled in. That's awesome!
  • @@samra338 I've been running since January. I've gone from an 18min mile to a 15min mile Even with that improvement I'm still as slow as molasses. lol. Once and a while the first and last mile will be 12min but they are rare. I think your 11 min mile sounds FANTASTIC! I have a doctors visit later this month and I'm going…
  • Thanks, everyone, for the kudos. It's much appreciated. I've finished the radio challenge and the squats (surprising how much I loved both) and if I'm below goal today and tomorrow I'll get the 5 points too. I joined the schools wellness center this week! I now have access to the swim team's pool, weights, and everything.…
  • Oh! If you are looking for tiny waist and large thigh jeans and pants I recommend Ann Taylor. Their regular cut is tighter in the waist and larger in the hips and thighs than many brands and then they have a Curvy Fit that is even more so. I haven't had a chance to try Loft pants but the size chart online looks the same.
  • Old Navy was the first store that I went to (it was a whim after a hair cut) when I started replacing my wardrobe. I was able to fit into one XS shirt and a 0 Petite that someone bought online and returned to the store. I spent the rest of the weekend at a festival and while people watching I would think "That person can't…
  • I started increasing exercise by walking in 2015. I walked 8 hours a week walking dogs at a local shelter but by January 2016 I had made no change in weight. I decided to kick it up a notch and start C25K. I joined MFP after reading on a running site that C25K programs often come with a weight gain because of feeling…
  • @@smile_laughter I joined MFP to lose weight and I'm a New Years Resolution successes story!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DN37VU0zKs Here is a some theme music to to hum as I build a photo montage.
  • I agree with you about Old Navy when it comes to vanity sizing. At Old Navy I'm a 0-00 Short and a 0 Petite, while most other brands I'm a 2-0 Short and a 2 Petite. My local Old Navy doesn't stock jeans small enough for me. I could order them online with free shipping but...
  • @BJerzy, exactly. I should still come in under goal most days since MFP gave me another 250 a day for 2lbs a month gain and I want to gain at the rate of 1lb a month or slower. It's mostly to stop losing. I could stay here and be happy but I don't want to get even smaller. My new tiny cute bras are getting loose. :D :'(
  • Do it. I believe I'm a size 8 and a size M-L there when I'm a size 2-0 and size PM-XS in other stores. I find it refreshing since I'm the smallest I've ever been but I'm not tiny. (Not that I've ever been inside the store myself, just going by the sizing guide online and the few pieces in my closet.) You're right about the…
  • Yes. This. I'm still a Petite Medium in shirts but am now about that size in jeans and none of the brands I wore in the past make my new size. American Eagle, The Limited, Macy's and Nordstroms, Talbots, Forever 21, Ann Tylor, Loft, and H&M Don't be fooled by H&M stopping at a size 2 the measurements are smaller than other…
  • Wow! 4:40am. That's dedication.
  • Well team, today I'm having to switch from maintaining to gaining weight. I don't like how small I'm getting. So I may or may not get the 5 points for being under goal 5 days this week. I love the Rajio Taiso videos and do them while brewing coffee and I feel all warmed up for the day. Day 3 for that. Currently at 25 sumo…
  • It does this to me too. A slow day but on my feet all day with no sitting gives me a crazy amount of calories verses the same number of steps done at a run but the rest of the day at a desk. I eat every single one of them less 35-ish so I don't go into the red and I'm still losing. I'm going to do it. If I still lose this…
  • Just jumping in to say "me too". I reached goal in July. I eat almost all my Fitbit calories but I also hate seeing red so leave a few. I'm also still losing. Please check back with what setting works for you. I'm thinking of setting mine to gain half a pound a week but have put off the math too see how much of that extra…
