  • Thanks for answering. I've never been low carb for the sake of being low carb and I even removed it from my tracking. I track protein, fiber and fat for satiety. I also track salt and sugar because then I could predict what I will weigh the next day and that is fun. But with my goal to lose .8-1.23 lbs a week and my small…
  • I like feeling full and I'm a happier person that day and the next so I plan for it. I save calories for the weekend so I can have a 2200 day. A few days a week I skip breakfast so I can have an 800 calorie lunch and that very full feeling again. Small meals and I'm chasing my hunger all day but a few large ones and I'm…
  • Tell me about it. At 151 lbs I should have been an 8 but I was shoving myself into 6s. My original GW was 127 lbs but I was irritated that while I looked thinner I was still a 6. No way had I gone though 5.5 months and 27 lbs to be the same size. That's when I set the new goal of 123 lbs. At 125 lbs I was having so much…
  • I have the same stats. I could see a small change at 131 lb. Then at 129 lb it was like runaway freight train and a huge change every 3 lbs. Keep at it. It's worth it. 5' 4" SW 151 GW 123 CW 123 151 size 8 and some 6s 131 size 6 125 size 4 123 size 2 crazy I didn't expect to go down a size with 2 lbs
  • I had the same stats starting at 151 lbs doing the same workout plus walking an hour every day. Going from 1200 to 1480 my loss went from a pound every 5 days to .8 a week. Totally worth it. I feel better and it's easer. I'm 127 lbs now headed to 123 lbs.
  • If you can't decide between two get the one that will weigh the most. Mine will weigh up to 5lbs so it easily handles my plate as I dish my food onto it but I can't weigh my food in the cooking pot and there have been days I wanted to. I won't replace this one, but I do wish it weight up to 10 or 15lb.
  • measuring cups vary and we can fill them loosely or cram them full but the scale is always accurate. Also the scale is easier, faster, and with no extra dishes to wash.
  • I'm not worried about the calories in the lost juice but the weight of it. When I was entering the weight I was going to eat I was not thinking of the lost water I would have been underestimating by 80 calories. That's a lot. I'll look for the drained entry.
  • Yeah I think that will be best. On the days I'm going to eat the whole can over the course of the day I can log it all at once. But the rest of the time I'll just do the math to figure out servings minus the water. It's been an eye opener how much is water. I now wonder if the name brands have less water and if the cost…
  • I'm at the top of my range too. I'm not going to add calories until I reach the middle. But it's because I want to see that number in two weeks not four or five.
  • My mom was here this weekend and she is a bundle of never ending energy that wears me out. After a hard day of work around my house doing maintenance that I couldn't do by myself, changing light fixtures in the ceiling, clearing gutters, digging out small trees in the garden, three trips to the hardware store and one to…
  • Running the C25K in the basement is adorable and I love it. You are awesome at keeping to your goals.
  • 1. Walk dog every day (nothing new there, we rack up the miles every week) 2. park at the far end of the parking lot 3. carry a basket in the store instead of pushing a cart 4. mow twice a week. I have push mower and the smaller I get the harder it is to push. I now have to put my whole body into it to get it up the hill.…
  • Not quite like that, but if I go a several days in row at less than 1380 calories I will find myself randomly bursting into tears.
  • This week's challenge is covering miles. I've been feeling worn out from a sinus infection so instead of running I'm headed out for a long walk. Today is the first day it isn't raining in a week and I'm so excited to see the sunshine.
  • I made it 6 of the 7 days eating all the colors. Tomorrow is grocery day and I was all out of blue and light on the greens today as I've eaten my fridge bare.
  • If you use mfp on your phone it does the math for you under the nutrition tab. I have it set to a rolling 7 days but under settings that can be changed to a static weekly option that will calculate what is left for the week.
  • I stopped feeling fat every day once I got 8 lbs into the healthy BMI. Now I only feel fat on the days I'm physically uncomfortable and my skin feels too tight...TOM...high sodium meals...ect. I can tell I look the same in the mirror but those days I feel icky and unattractive and fat. "Fat days" happen more often than I…
  • Day 2 is exactly the same as day one. Actually, it's so tasty and I don't want it to go bad so Day 3 will be exactly the same too. Red: tomato, red bell pepper, cherries Orange: orange pepper Yellow: corn, pineapple, yellow pepper Green: spinach, spring greens, green onions, cilantro, fresh basil, fennel, avocado, green…
  • I have a vain NSV today. For the first time ever when I suck in my stomach the bottom pooch sucks in too and I can fake a flat stomach. That was good for a full three minutes of preening in front of the mirror this morning and a nice surprise.
  • Day 1: Red: tomato, red bell pepper, cherries Orange: orange pepper Yellow: corn, pineapple, yellow pepper Green: spinach, spring greens, green onions, cilantro, fresh basil, fennel, avocado, green pepper Blue/purple: purple lettuce, black beans White: potato, onion
  • I'm 5'4" and have mfp set to lose half a pound a week. When I reached 130 lb and my calories were reduced to 1300 I almost cried. I manually raised it back to 1480.
  • Hi! My name is Sherri. I live in Kansas City with my dog Finn. Finn is my fitness trainer extraordinaire who makes sure I get out everyday no matter the weather. Between him and Zombies, RUN! I'm having a blast turning from a couch potato into a jogger. If you asked me a year ago if I was ever going to run I would have…
  • I failed at my posted goals of drinking more water and working on my core muscles. I drink lots of water however I can't seem to hit the challenge goal. I've kept running and have had no interest in adding other exercises. But, and this is a big one, not only did I blow past my weight loss goal for the challenge I'm now…
  • What a week. It was my birthday Monday and family was here all weekend. I served hot homemade cherry chocolate chunk cookies as breakfast because that's how I roll. My sewer line backed up from a collapse and I had the whole pipe from the house to the easement replaced. I couldn't shower for 4 days. Not being able to…
  • You and me both. My appetite tanks in the summer. When it's so hot in the house that I have to peel my shirt off of my skin the only things that sound good are cottage cheese, Popsicle and watermelon. Thankfully that's still a few months away.
  • lol. I can just see spending an hour with my cat strapped to me as I exercised and did chores. He would kill me dead. And I've lost him and more. He has a small frame and I've always measured out his food to keep him a trim and healthy 9lbs. My vet just gushes about his lush shiny fur (I suspect genetics) and perfect…
  • I love this weeks challenge. My bathroom is too small for my scale so I have it in the hallway. That means I weigh myself several times a day when I walk past. Not in the angst ridden what-do-I-weigh way but in the "Look at me, I'm fully clothed and weigh less than day one naked"... "Look at me, I'm fully clothed and…
  • Don't go crazy there. When working that many hours sleep is really important. We will hold down the fort with the challenge and you concentrate on making it through this in one piece. Do please keep checking in so we know you're ok. Take care.
