Whichever recipe you choose (Paula Deen's is a decent start) be sure to put the cooked cauliflower in a kitchen towel or cheesecloth and squeeze as much water out of it as you can. This will let the crust get a bit firmer and crisper.. a much better texture IMO than when you don't.

If you're not hungry, one day of being low isn't going to hurt anything. If you're still hungry, enjoy a snack :)

Welcome :)

I love this! Great job! (and I have the same ladybug socks you're wearing!)

This is the second day in a row I've eaten a Clif bar for lunch - yesterday due to being swamped, today for lack of enthusiasm. lol I'm having friends over tonight, so it will help me fit in a glass of wine or three later

He may think you're interesting... and maybe smile at him once in a while, might give him the signal you're open to talking to him. :)

I'd wait for a while, wear the ring on a chain for a while during. Depending on the ring and its structure, you may not be able to successfully resize it numerous times.

I'm on week 3! :) I made it through day 1 Monday and didn't die! (lifetime non-runner... so that's a big deal to me. )

Missy Elliott, Eminem, Esther Dean, Mark Ronson, Goldfrapp, The Cult, Pink, and Maroon 5 are some of the random artists on my "Run, Beeeyotch" playlist.

They are Brooks Dryad 8. I watched the slow motion video with the guy and saw the left foot has a slight pronation, nothing noticeable on the right. I ran on the treadmill 4 times, same result each time, though the last with the shoes there was a touch less of the slight pronation on the left. Even looking at photos…

I did get a proper fit at the running shop. Had the videos taken, viewed in slow motion in various shoes. No (or negligible) pronation or supination in the right foot and very little in the left. We went for a shoe with slight stability to correct some of the pronation in the left foot without overcompensating for the lack…

Awesome, thanks for the guidance, @BrianSharpe! I'll go check out some videos. I feel awkward running, so might also be my stride. Onward and forward!

huh.. my reply to this has disappeared. :/

I've been weighing everything (grams) so this morning, after a poster swore that "no company would put on a serving size that wasn't the same in weight and volume on a package" I used a measuring cup to weigh out my Special K cereal. A serving is 3/4 cup (32 g) I measured out the 3/4 cup serving using my measuring cups and…

It's been a few years, but I did a triathlon. I came in last, it was an ocean swim and my wetsuit tried to strangle me (never try something new right at race day... new wetsuit) I wish you the best of success with your training. It's always cool to cross the finish line :) I'm just starting the C25K now (the run was my…

I used to use an awesome swimmer's shampoo after my laps. Removed the chlorine smell and helped prevent some of the damage of the chemicals. I also put it into my cap wet (even found a cap for thick/long hair!) I'd also use a little of the shampoo on my suit to remove the chlorine. Easy up-dos and braids were definitely a…

Because most people don't use a food scale and the manufacturers are providing the closest volume measurement to what the weight is (you'll notice they also provide the weight 99% of the time). It's the same as baking in the US, we use volume for dry ingredients rather than the much more precise weight. Try an experiment…

I find something else to do that slightly distracts my mind, then often an idea will come to me. An author I know plots her books while working jigsaw puzzles. If I have no idea with an art piece, I work on a different type of project for a bit. Also look at it from another angle.

Not sure about South Korea prices, but when I was in Thailand, I had a few things made for me. The cost wasn't bad at all and it was exactly what I wanted. Between our body shape, height, and broad shoulders finding anything that fit was nearly impossible.

Well done!

Because movement is good for you. It may not be a key factor in the weight loss journey, but it is definitely a key factor in your overall, long-term health.

Amazing job!

I can't sing when I'm sitting on the couch relaxing, can't imagine running will make my caterwauling any more palatable. ;)

I lost 190 lbs in 3 months once... had a party when the judge signed the divorce papers :D sorry... I'll see myself out now.

I'm on week 2 of C25K and am so self-conscious, I started going out at 5:00 a-freakin-m so no one would see me. Being it's still COLD here, I've given that up and now head to my community gym at off hours to hit the treadmill. I don't look at anyone, I put in my earbuds and focus on the timer. I hope someday I'll get over…

I feel like I need popcorn for this thread (logging it, natch)
