I have been counting calories for 36 days and I have lost 33 lbs without surgery. I started at 295 lbs and I am down to 262.

I started at 295. I am down to 268. I have only been eating about 1250 calories a day. I have lost 27 lbs in 25 days. The first week I lost a lot and have averaged a half a pound per day after the first week. (3.5 lbs a week)

I started counting calories at a total weight of 295 and I think it takes about 2800 calories to maintain that weight. I have only been eating about 1400 calories a day....leaving a 1400 calorie deficit. By my calculations. ...a 1400 calorie deficit per day equals a loss of almost a half pound of weight (0.4 lbs.) per day.
