Okay so I just went back and double checked some labels and WOW! The macaroni noodles I was using was inaccurately calculating the carbs. Basically, the carbs were showing as 84g per 1oz, when it should’ve been like 20 or something! I think I definitely found the problem. Thank you for all your help!

Even if I tare the towel, it seems I get more than a 100g different result if I weigh it without the towel. Is the towel doing something weird with the weight of the pot on top of it?

@serindipte , I do weigh the pot separately and then subtract that at the end. I’m just having trouble weighing the cooked food in the pot all together because I’m afraid it will burn my scale? Could I similarly do this for noodle dishes? For instance, I make a hamburger helper type dish with macaroni noodles and ground turkey. So when you do this, isn’t the instant pot extremely hot? I’m curious how you take the pot out if it’s so hot. Just with regular oven mitts?

That didn’t even occur to me, but now that I think of it, I’m sure that was the issue! Thank you! Having to take all of that out of the instant pot sounds awful, ugh. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do!

Definitely get it checked out. I had the same type of pain a couple years ago during cross country but ignored it for a little while, and to this day running kills my knee, IT band, and hips. I can no longer run on the treadmill. I have to use the elliptical. Please don’t ignore it!

Not to beat a dead horse, but make coffee at home. I personally don’t like black coffee, so I add a little bit of vanilla almond milk and like a tablespoon of a torani syrup of my choosing and BAM it gives you a sweet taste similar to Starbucks without all the calories and money. If you drink vodka, mix it with water and mio (or some other no calorie flavor drops). You want to avoid mixing your alcohol with drinks like Gatorade or fruit punches that are all high calorie. You can achieve the same flavor profile with flavor drops with little to no calories.

I always skip breakfast! I prefer to eat around 1-3 (whether it be breakfast or lunch food) and then have a nice dinner around 6-8.
